Of course there's been trouble translating online to offline form for him, but the fundamental skill should be there for him to win the group and do well in this GSL.
Yeah number one on ladder, we all know what that means he should win code s this season!

No, but at least it shows a good overall level.
Nah i agree with that actually, just had to tease this one. Though overall level doesn't seem to translate too well most of the time especially in gsl where prep work might be even more important.

Normally I agree with this, but he's been #1 on the ladder a few times over the last 12 months without actually returning to form offline.

He got second in a GSL and it took Dark to knock him out in S1 in his weakest matchup in the Ro8. That's not bad all things considered. It's consistency that's the issue with him.

It's not terrible in terms of results, he should make blizzcon and all. But Zest is good shape is winning these events.
I'm convinced that the next time Zest meet ShoWTimE, Zest's going to be the one who emerges victorious. When Zest lost to Neeb in KeSPA Cup 2016, Zest won against Neeb the next time they meet at BlizzCon.
Now regarding the group, while Leenock is not exactly the strongest Zerg out there, I'm not very sure if picking him is a good idea, same goes with herO. Like Zest used to have very good winrate against herO but recently I feel like Zest always lose against herO at offline tournament.
Online results are a very different thing from offline results. With that being said, hopefully Zest can replicate his good online results into advancing next week.
I really hope Zest can achieve something today. His PvP is quite good, but this matchup is a bit random so let's see. And I am quite worried about his PvZ especially since his first game today is against Leenock. Hopefully he practised well and lost yesterday in olimoleague against Solar just because he didn't want to show his builds.
Hard to draw any conclusions from this really. Unscouted baneling bust kills you every time, really unusual opening in g2 that somehow worked thanks to great micro, BO win against Leenock with yet another dead opening.
Definitely outplayed Trap in g1, then BO win again. And that's it, on to the Ro8!
In other news, this should guarantee his BlizzCon spot now!

yeah ro8 should reveal a bit more. The series vs Trap was good though.
For me, I'm very happy that Zest has finally found a new team after leaving KT back in 2016, but there's a sad feeling as well. Zest will always be KT_Zest to me.

And of course the first tweet is "pls cheer for me"
