Hello TLers! Have you ever been steamed after a forum discussion and wished you could have that discussion instead of typing furiously at your keyboard?
Good news! I am recruiting TL friends to hash out discussions in greater nuance than is possible through text alone.
Many of our discussions will revolve around political philosophy, but we will also touch on sports, culture and just about any other topic you can think of. I have reached out to several of your favorite posters from the Politics and Health & Fitness threads to join us and hope more will want to join us.
So come join us at
Our inaugural stream will be tonight at 12PM Eastern, 11PM Central, 10PM Mountain. See you there!

Exactly what I was thinking, put that shit on TV.

I'm thinking it's either pay me exorbitantly (this would probably be pocket change [like 10% of your entertainment budget] between a few dozen of you really lol) or it's a socialist operation, either would be acceptable to me
EDIT: I promise it would be more entertaining and informative than whatever people are currently listening to on their commutes/jogs/whatever.
Well, if you have a subject or position you'd like to discuss, let me know. We mostly discussed the Mueller stuff last time. I'd be sincerely interested if anyone had an opposing viewpoint on that.
It could be dialectical in the sense that someone could come on one time and present their arguments and the next time someone else could rebut. if people were feeling brave, we could try simultaneously, but I'd prefer it not devolve into a shitshow. I'd like to think I could be a reasonable interlocutor.

Sounds interesting definitely, I’d be game for a US politics discussion for sure, I feel the audial format is a mite more civilised than the purely textual form, especially if GH was on could be especially interesting!
But yeah fire me a PM if you have a topic of a week coming up or whatever and I’d be happy to give my vague angle and you could decide if it’s worth having me on or not. I’m the type of person who is paralysed by too much choice :p
The plan right now is that, since last time was dominated by discussion of the Mueller Report, this will be xDaunt discussing nationalism (whatever that means), since that seems to be the topic du jour. I'm hoping the following week somebody- perhaps GH or Wombat- will step up and give a response to that. Hopefully that will start the ball rolling somewhat.
If people want to come on together or individually or have a topic to discuss, let me know. I'm curious if anyone has a reaction to the Mueller discussion. Personally, I'd also like a discussion on the future of liberalism.
