The alphabet is extremely easy. I was surprised by how simple it really is, but actually quite glad. Sure...I don't know anything besides "하나", but it is a start!

That website you linked to is great btw. edit: haji you freak, get back to work lol Only reason I call it extremely easy is because I've tried learning other languages before...and it was a tad more difficult than Korean. Either that or I was being quite slow at that time..

Both languages are hard to pronounce, if you're American or w/e.

You have to learn Hangeul, the romanization, and the keys on a keyboard. For instance I know the romanization of dad is abba but when I type abba it comes out like: 뮤ㅠㅁ so thats like... three things to memorize.

Reading Korean is no problem...I learned Korean as a first language...but I've forgotten since my parents freaked and only permitted me to speak English when I was young (I couldn't speak fluent English until I was like ~4-5 or something). I can still read Korean fine...just I only understand like half of what I'm reading...lol.

Found it in another thread here on TL through Google.

When you say Japanese is easy, do you mean just the spoken language? Or is Japanese writing easy as well? I always assumed it was difficult due to kanji and all that. Structure of sentences is other way around if I remember correctly, so this can be pain. 2basic writing systems: Hiragana and Katakana aren't that bad, when I was learning a little I found them fun... but Kanji... meh there is something like 3000 standard characters used -> daily (and old non used / archaic is something like 8000 - 10 000?)? I have no idea how they read Kanji like as small as letters here.but the truth is both Hiragana and Katakana are easier-to-write (simplified) Kanji; there is interesting history behind both systems because Katakana was 1st used mostly by men (Buddhist monks invented it? can't remember) and Hiragana by women http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiragana#History I think I read somewhere that Japanese people themselves, especially teenagers avoid a little using Kanji when writing... it's just faster?

The keyboard layout is probably the easiest in the world to learn.
