Not sure if a small topic like this belongs in the almighty Strat forum but I put some effort into this and it might be interesting to know for some people (I don't believe it's common knowledge?). Also I searched a bunch of terms in both the forum and Liquipedia but couldn't find a topic on this subject.
After trying to hop a vulture over the outside mineral lines on outsider and failing thrice I decided to look into how to get vultures over the mineral line. I tried several methods and the one below worked 100% of the time.
The setup
Step 1 Get the (1)vulture in place and hotkey it. Put it in the smallest niche in the line. You can get it close to the (3)key patch by right clicking it while having the vulture selected.
Step 2 Select your (2)SCV and have it mine from the (3)patch.
Step 3 Select your (1)vulture (hotkey) and right-click the (4)area behind the patch once, then right-click the (3)mineral patch once and then spam right-click the (4)area.
Hope this helps, cheers
I realise I haven't tried this with Dragoons as well but I'd reckon the same method would work.

How does selecting a mineral patch and spamming right click help your Vulture get over?
EDIT: spelling

Cute little guide although who didn't know this? ^o^ It's possible to do this with dragoons as well, almost any unit I would assume.

It actually work if you just spam right click on the mineral patch as well from my experience.

What about mineral patches that don't have a -X X-X
pocket but something like -XX X--X

I vaguely remember watching that game (was a showmatch versus someone, I think -GosuGamers?).

it's a little harder but you can still do it as long as there's a gap

LR I recall you got rocked by a Korean after doing that... still, it was exciting to be like oh my god, is he really...?
Thanks for the guide, Pholon. I'm assuming it should work similarly with goons, because now I'll have to bug those buggers across in order to defend against these shenanigans.

Really? You click the patch itself? I never knew that.

Are you being ironic?

I always right clicked the area across and hoped for the best. Thanks for this!

The 'working out well' for me bit was facetious.
But it's a fun mechanic nevertheless :D

Yeah, you can spam click the patch too, if you're lucky it'll go over, but the click once click past hasn't failed me yet.

I've always just spammed past, never done past, patch, past.
