Bisu: "I will win gold."
"Fame and the pride of becoming the first place WCG qualifier were at stake."
"Fame and the pride of becoming the first place WCG qualifier were at stake."
- You placed first in WCG 2009 Korea.
▲ I felt better after yesterday's matches(laugh). Today fame and the pride of becoming the first place WCG qualifier were at stake. It feels good to have won nonetheless. This is my third time playing in the qualification rounds, and although I didn't qualify the first two times, I got lucky this time and won the whole thing. I will win gold.
- You probably weren't that nervous today.
▲ I was so nervous yesterday. I was very tense for the quarterfinals and semifinals. However I wasn't that nervous today. I think qualifying is the most important thing and getting first or second in qualification rounds is trivial. Today's nervousness was also different from that which I feel during the official league matches.
- Were you nervous for the quarterfinals with Flash?
▲ I think so. I think my match with Flash was the most nerve-racking one. But it was also fun.
- You almost lost the first game.
▲ Stork told me he tried to kill my probe but failed. He wished the reaver had done a little more damage, but an extra dragoon popped out, which prevented further damage. I didn't even realize an extra dragoon had spawned(laugh). I thought I won after walling my choke. I told the probe to start mining again, but Stork told me the probe had wandered off to my natural.
- What do you think of the skill level of this year's qualifiers?
▲ I think it's pretty much the same every year. They were very good in 2007, and they were also very good last year(laugh).
- Anything specific you want to experience in China?
▲ I kind of want to try the Chinese traditional massage. I don't think I would want to do anything specific though; I think it will be good just to go sightseeing on the streets.
- It looks like you'll be getting some time off.
▲ I'm free today and tomorrow, and I have a culture class on Tuesday. After culture class I will be going on a trip outside of the country. Starting then, I will have a week or two to relax, and then I should prepare for next season afterwards.

- You were selected to represent South Korea at WCG two years in a row.
▲ I was ecstatic last year but being selected two years in a row generates quite a different feel. I want to reach the grand finals and perform well. I want to especially because last year I didn't perform as well as I expected.
- How does going through the 3rd/4th place match feel?
▲ I feel that the 3rd/4th place match is a treat that is unique to WCG Korea. However I wasn't nervous and tried to relax throughout the event. It makes me feel even better that the results turned out well.
- How did you prepare for the match?
▲ Honestly I didn't practice that much. I tried to win with just my foundational skills. I am relieved the results turned out well.
- You didn't seem motivated today.
▲ It's true that I don't feel as motivated as I once did in the past. This is the last event in Korea that I will be participating in for a while. One side of me feels relieved as I needed some room to relax. I think I need some time to rejuvenate myself.
- Your fans think your death stare is nowhere to be seen nowadays.
▲ I feel the same way. I'm actually pretty concerned about that. Although a professional gamer should not be admitting to such things, I am well aware of my current physical state. I think I will have to take some time off to relax and focus once again.
- How were your talks with your parents back at home?
▲ We still have time. However I think everything will go well. We talked a lot.
- Many say the Korean team this year boasts the strongest lineup WCG has seen.
▲ I'm not too familiar with the past players so I can't comment. But I do think this year's lineup is strong; maybe even too strong. The other two players hold impressive records. I don't think we'll have to worry about winning gold at WCG.
- Isn't match-up luck also important?
▲ Match-ups are important. If the brackets work out well we will have an even easier time advancing. If I meet a fellow Korean that's too bad. Because I already experienced it last year, I will do my best to have a fair and friendly competition.
- It seems you've won every event except the WCG.
▲ WCG is the only major competition I haven't won yet. Of course I am desirous of winning. I think winning every major competition is an achievement in itself. Because the WCG only occurs once a year I don't want to let this opportunity pass. I want to win gold.
- Any last words for your fans?
▲ It's good that I got to have a winner's interview today. I thank all of you that look out and cheer for me. Because everything will be okay you don't have to worry anymore. I will be recharging during the month of September and sorting through my goals for the upcoming year. See you next season in good form.
