Saturday 2nd of January: So SOT decided to drop sov in Y-2 during the afternoon, so we ninja onlined a TCU in the system. We proceeded to online some towers in the system, to get staging points.
We jumped everything we had into system continuously, titans/capitals/fleet.
We spend most of the afternoon/early evening reinforcing the hostiles pos's in this system, incapping the guns and taking the station. We bubbled down the gates with large t2, and started up our camp fires.
The initial plan on our part was to try and keep the hostiles from killing our TCU for as long as possible. We didn't need to keep it alive until 03:xx, we needed to buy enough time so we would have time AFTER dt on Sunday to kill the TCU, that way hostile numbers wouldn't be great. The actual time we could defend the TCU for, would ofc depend on ours and hostile numbers, so we would have to see what happened during the night.
We stood down the fleet around 1800'ish for dinner and letting people get a break. Our regroup for the night was 22:30 with everything.
We knew hostiles didnt have a usable staging tower in the system, so people were constantly bouncing around scanning looking for anchoring towers. At around 21:30 one such tower was discovered and we pinged irc and started up the fleet again. Local quickly went to 300+ and we warped dictors on the tower that had 30s left on anchoring. Rest of the fleet followed closely and tower was quickly destroyed without any problems.
Seeing as we had 45min left until our regroup we kept fleet up and started getting ready.
Hostiles had spend the afternoon ringing up all their friends on the batphone, and MM and RzR was both coming down from the cold north, to fight poor little us. MM+pets were bringing in around 150 support, and rzr comming with about 100 bs. PL+Goons would be the capital force of the coalition, but goons had also a sizable regular bs fleet.
We had initially used the TCU pos for regular fleet (was only pos in system at that time), and since we had to get all our titans into that one now, we spend a good hour or so slapping everyone to get them to move to a secondary pos, changing pwd, and getting titans warped in at the right spots. Parking 16 titans in a POS, when they can only use the back 50% of the shields is harder than finding a parking spot at the local mall on a saturday afternoon.... On the front side of the pos, turned towards the TCU, we warped in 80 carriers, who all positioned themselves in rep range on the edge of the shield.
We had the rest of our cap fleet sitting at a second pos rdy to warp when needed. Regular fleet was at their own pos on standby.
When everything was in place we settled down and waited. We were following the hostile movement and they came from all over through Aridia to Hophib where some titan bridged to j-r and some moved manually through fountain to LBGI. In both systems hostiles had titans rdy and they got their ships in bridge range.
Seeing as sov was dropped past DT there was no way to petition the node to be reinforced, so we all knew this was gonna be ugly.
At around 01:00 or a bit later (can't recall exact time), hostiles opened up 4 cynos at a deep safespot and bridged/jumped in everything. At the same time we warped all our caps onto the TCU at 10-30, + regular fleet in on the grid as well. We knew system would be fucked so was making damn sure we had the grid pre-loaded once the fight was going down.
We warped scouts to the hostile cyno's ofc, and while some loaded instantly it took the slowest ones 20-30m to load the jump in grid. We had our bombers work on the hostiles, and some AAA who also had appeared in bombers only were doing the same. Bombers were reporting huge problems due to lag though, so they were basically just shooting blind they said.
Hostiles had 7 titans, 95 dreads and 65 carriers sitting at the SS. We had 16 titans, 135 dreads, 85 carriers, 220 battleships and 150 support sitting at our pos rdy for them.
Pretty much the entire hostile regular fleet was killed by bombs I believe, cause when I finally loaded there was a lot of pods and pretty much just capitals left at the SS.
Knowing 95% of the hostiles hadn't loaded we waited at the TCU, were not gonna warp in on them risking never loading that grid.
The next 2 hours were spend with support and bombers warping around scanning down capitals in safe spots and killing them, while the Fleet was on the TCU waiting. Quite a lot of capitals were killed, but some disappeared before we managed to kill them (was to many all over ).
At around 03:00 hostiles started to jump out the caps that had loaded, and had apparently earlier logged out the rest. Seeing as our TCU was almost online, we decided to "risk" warping to the grid of the hostiles.
Testing loading I warped my HID in the middle of their cap fleet and started bubbling 2 of their titans (bad idea spending 2m alone on grid in a hid at 0 on hostiles btw ). Pretty much loaded instantly, so we warped in ALL titans/dreads/bs on top of them, to end it fast. We left carriers behind at the pos "just in case" (10min later we warped them in on the hostiles as well though).
The first hostile titan we primaried with our tits instant popped, and everyone was like "erhm ok....". 2 more hostile titans were killed at this location, with a 4th being scanned down at a safe spot and killed. After all the titans were either dead or invulnerable due to being out, we started working on the capitals. I have absolutely no clue how many we killed, but we spend quite some time shooting through them with titans DD'ing left and right.
We had a few friendly titans crashing out in the end, and one ended up at a safe spot where he was found with 7 bombers on him trying to kill him. I wonder how long it would take 7 bombers to kill a titan with all hardeners running
That was pretty much it, a complete turkey shoot due to lag and 4 hostile tits down + many many capitals.
I've heard 5 titans, but even at a more conservative number of 4, that's fucking insane. One person (IT, mind you) reported that the losses were in the range of 500 billion ISK, which has a value of around 31k USD.
Oh well it was apparently GS/PL all over again. The FC loaded everyone in I guess and a turkey shoot happened all over again.
It's not ruining my game, because I don't expect to be able to jump 700 people into a dead-end system WHICH ALREADY HAS 400 PEOPLE IN IT to not end in tears for the people jumping in. Infact, seeing threads like this after probably the 6th or SEVENTH time that "The NC" has done this and then bawwed on the forums about how CCP's servers can't handle it gets funnier every time.
Everyone else has just accepted the fact that there are limitations to CCP's server performance and accept it / work around it / whatever - maybe you guys should learn from past mistakes and just accept that stuff like that is not possible, and either try to find a way to work around it or just put up with it - posting because you got fisted because of a dumb move won't change anything.
Apparently GS is now sending numbers in and fighting is currently going on.
GC as a whole and Liquid Inc. were quite involved in those y8r fights. also, we took the sovereignty today after downtime.
gs wont be sending any numbers in since they got attacked in querious by -A- and stainwagon last night and will be busy enough with that and defending pl's ass (who cant really match IT in any tz)
@motbob
we had sov for months now and primary is like a tick, it latched on to us and is following us around, leeching off. mya and old hull miners crew have some friends there so they're letting them
Mynas Atoch We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches. We shall fight on the landing grounds. We shall fight in the fields and in the streets. We shall fight in the hills. We shall never surrender.
Tooth and nails, sticks and stones, fire and ice. Bring the kitchen sinks. We're standing tall. It's our ****ing island. The last week has seen more carnage then any other week.
Our island is P-2, and its not yours. Keep it coming.
We are better then you.
Myn
Then earlier today Tri apparently got off to a bad start:
30 dreads were sieging a tower, we had word enemy was moving to them.
tri bridge in, we warped caps off and jumped them out upon landing. 40-50 lol bombers warp to cyno, bubbles up and tri had a lol moment.
good fight, regaurds MH and the fail bombers of eve.
Preliminary reports are of 90% losses for tri. Looks to be around 100 ships dead from the best guess.
updated atm 66 bs kills and climing as well as some support kills. Reports from a lot of mh pilots that they were getting mass locked, so tri apparently loaded.
Server did not crash for about 10 minutes after first bomb went off. Many tri pods tried to warp off and were killed on the gate in a bubble during this time.
Pods are being killed at the spot of the load now, so apparently not may ship reimburstments, GG
The station has fallen:
P-2 station has been captured. In yet another victory for PvPers across EVE. NC gave up and was a no show. We are still waiting on our 500 Billion ISK each for taking 9-2.
Personally my favorite moment during the last week was burning my dinner trying to jump in to ninja on Snake's Avatar only to see him pop before I got a lock. The food still tasted amazing watching COAD drinking in all the NC tears.

So, I'm not even a player here, but I'm just interested in the politics. Is Goonsquad still considered the dominant power after its win vs Kenzoku? Where are Kenzoku right now? What are they doing?
Pathetic Legion have surrendered and returning to “Wolfpack” roaming. Viper claimed to have evaced the frontline and more confirmation on SHC. They claimed that they only became sov holding due to finding abandoned space left by BRUCE who were ****d by BOB.
Basically they did not want that space/station/titan/moons etc anyway.
Ugh! Why the huge misinformation hitting caod bothers me today I don't know, but THIS is so wrong and so disrespectful to both BRUCE and PL.
BRUCE, part of the NC, fell internally while getting pounded by GOONS and PL/friends. Mostly they had internal problems stemming from a lack of NC help and a lot of hacking, i.e. "Bruce Radio" a streaming audio available online of their teamspeak. Pandemic Legion also maneuvered a scam of NC, setting some false blue standings, so they would jump their cap fleet out of Fountain.
Then, PL became a force on their own defending Fountain, sometimes with the help of the Goons on multiple occassions.
Perhaps they are moving on now, I cannot confirm that, but PL/SOT were quality spaceholding alliances that have just lost a very clever war strategized by SirMolle and a large movement that is just tired of Goon-style play.
Loss mails on both sides didn't register. The kb numbers are suspect, whether you claim it went one way or the other.
Some folks had little lag, others were crippled by it regardless of dialing settings down to Doom1 mode. In the end, we ping ponged around the system and each time Goons/ZAF warped off the field.
In the end, it was just under 1000 in system. iHub was put into its second r/f cycle and towers on both sides were saved.
AFAIK, there was only one carrier lost last night, an unfortunate AAA carrier warped to a Goonie pos and was bbq'd. Both sides kept their cap ships off the field as there were tons of titans waiting in the wings. Carriers assigned fighters and rep'd friendlies was about it.
The station r/f timer is up in a few hours. ZAF and Goons have CTA's set around 0100 EvE to attempt to rescue the station.
Hopefully, the devs who were cruising around got some good data to address the silliness that is large fleet warfare (defined as more than 20 on 20 ships).

I don't think so.
There are two scenarios which we are considering at teh moment.
1)CVA are beeing paid or coordinates their attacks with GoonSwarm (crazy but possible scenario)
2)CVA is using our 49-U skirmish battles and then attacks the systems in UX3-N2 constellation which are F9E-, SV5- , WD- , 9KOE. (best explanation so far)
Yesterday we had a big fight in F9E. AAA jumped into F9E and bubbled the gate to D-GTMI (CVA entrance system to Providence and connector between our regions).
SBUs were deployed and we started to shooting the Deathstar POS in SV5 where the TCU was placed by CVA. We incapacited all teh guns on their POS and reinforced it with 200++ Battleships. Order was given to jump back to F9E since D-GTMI was spiking with unfriendlies. We jumped in and then Cyno appeared at one of CVAs POS there. We jumped to a sniper spot @ gate and waited when they'll engage. At that moment there were 400 people in local. CVAs BS fleet engaged us @ gate and then their support jumped in from D-GTMI. Local at that point was 700. At that time i cannot say anything more since my connection lagged so much (it wasn't a reinforced node so it was laggy) that when the gate loaded i was alone with few mates from -A- @ gate and dying. I grabbed my Sniper Zealot and rejoined the battle via SV5 gate from HED-GP.
At this moment several forces from 49-U were called to join the battle since we've been outnumbered by CVA (200 vs 500). C0ven / Systematic-Chaos / Leagiunea Romana docked into FAT-6P station and changed ships to support (mostly Sniper HACs)
We've met in GE-8JV @ Jump bridge to HED and Jumped all teh forces there. After jumping with reinforcements to SV5, Grid was loading for like 5 minutes. After that i've got warped to a friendly POS and was awaiting orders after regroup. Then we engaged CVA fleet @ Planet and our allies joined as well. Lag at this point was horrible (900 in Local) and CVA pets were warping to our bubbles one by one (because of lag of course) We killed like 20-30 people in this way and started shooting the i-hub.We reinforced it and same was done in WD-VTV.
CVA disengaged when losing several Battleships and called gf.
It was 21:30 EVE Time (we started @ 16:00) and we had a CTA appointed @ 2:00 EVE Time prior 49-U station coming out of reinforced.
