Correct, you have to be Jesus Christ himself to give a good GOLF commentary. lol JK But i don't understand he complaints about commentaries. If you don't want to hear them talk, turn off the volume or make your own tourney and cast it yourself.

It's pretty freaking awesome - something that I'd been looking for for some time. Also, they have a couple of free programs on their website as well that are pretty sweet - seriously, check it out! it's actually smarter that they don't tell people what it does. the way that their sponsor will gauge their investment in this tourney is by the amount of publicity and new traffic that their site receives. by not directly telling the audience what the program is/does they ensure that more people actually take their time to actually visit the site. it obviously worked since they received additional money for the prize pool.

Maybe I need to relisten, but I remember it sounding like you were just speculating after having seen the citadel. If not, then I apologize for that specific instance, but I still stand by what I said in that you guys still have a lot of high-level knowledge to learn before you become truly great commentators. Yeah, exactly. If they say "it's a program for managing your iPod" people are only going to go to the site if they think they need a program to manage their iPod. If they say "google irip and see what happens!" People are WAY more likely to go to the site and increase the traffic. Nobody can help but wonder and a ton of people are going to search just out of pure curiosity. Way, way smarter to not mention what it is and just keep repeating irip over and over. A lot like the kind of advertising a lot of movies have been using over the last few years. Cloverfield is a good example. Their ads consisted of a brief clip that gives you no information about the movie at all, finishing with the release date for the movie. It wasn't even clear that it was an ad for a movie. Just enough to pique people's interest without actually giving them any information so they have to search for themselves. When I heard Husky say "google irip and see what happens!" I immediately thought it was a pretty genius way to plug the sponsor. I even wanted to google it at that moment and I already knew what it was lol.

There are no doubt plenty of people who would prefer Day[9] style in-depth technical commentary. There are others who would prefer simpler, higher-energy play-by-play. Some would prefer a mix of both and no doubt others, would prefer neither. You cannot please everyone. I should also point out that there is a sizeable chunk of the community who are into lighter, more energised play-by-play, as you can see by the large subscriber bases of both HD and Husky. Not everybody wants Day[9]'s style, it does not mean that either style is wrong, simply different. Variety is a good thing.

+ Show Spoiler + Anyone else surprised by Cauthon's showing? I was really expecting him to do much better, based on both his previous set against TLO and his recent gameplay in general (like beating both Idra and Artosis). He didn't seem to have any transitions from his early harass this time around, and his macro in general seemed... mediocre (yes, yes, I'm just a noob, but still). I'm not trying to take anything away from TLO, he certainly made a fan out of me after TLI, but I just didn't feel like I was watching the same CauthonLuck that's been showing up the MLG KotBH tourney. Anyone else feel that way? Or is it just me?

Also if Ret only could go all in on sc2, he for sure would be a monster. But I think its good that he values other things then gaming.

I find him pretty entertaining, personally. Maybe that's because I come from a gaming community where massive shit-talk is the norm and no one is nice to each other, heh.. At CPL in 07 a team that clearly had no chance of making the money took a forfeit win in the single-elimination round against a team that showed up a few minutes late, disqualifying them instantly from the tournament. This community seems a lot more friendly LOL. I'm looking forward to all of these matches. It will be really interesting to see Nony using the new phoenixes, assuming these rounds are played on the new patch. I'm hoping for a WhiteRa-IdrA final. I prefer watching Nony, but I don't really care for the protoss mirror if TLO loses to WhiteRa.

Not to mention for someone like me who is new to high level SC their commentary is a nice middle ground of not talking over my head and staying entertaining. I say keep up the good work.
