Wanted to write something before the thread closed (not an inb4close or something lame like that). Was very relieved. Can't wait for this to come out. Dropping out, here I come. Armies, woohoo!

The first option for the captor of the city is to destroy it - but this isn't immediate, and takes several turns to happen. This allows the defeated player to try to retake their precious city before it is destroyed. Installing a Governor makes the city yours, as in Civ IV, but one all new option seems to be most fun. Installing a puppet government avoids the potential revolt and problems an outright takeover causes and nets your empire the gold, culture and research from that city, but the city will operate independently and build whatever it wants to. http://www.civilization5.com/#/community/podcast_transcript_3 ET: Chris talks about one of the most obvious changes for leaders in Civilization V: You no longer see them just as a head as in previous iterations of the series, but instead as a full character, standing in a scene that makes sense with their history and adds to the impact of their words and mannerisms, speaking in their native tongues. These settings were considered and polished just as much as the character models. Without one, the other would not be nearly as powerful. Pretty cool.

1. The "2 civilizations + scenario" Premium DLC mentioned on the Direct2Drive preorder page will be purchasable separately by anyone. The D2D preorder bonus is that they give it to you for free. I do not know what the price of this DLC will be. 2. I am getting details for you about what the "Cradle of Civilization" Map Packs are that a couple retailers are offering as bonuses. As soon as I know I'll update this post and let you guys know. 3. We're putting together a webpage to detail for you what the different preorder bonuses are from the different retailers. We want you to be able to make an informed choice, and so soon we'll have that page for you to reference to see what all of your options are. Source

Happiness is a measure of your citizens’ contentment. As a rule, the larger your total population, the unhappier everybody gets. An unhappy population doesn’t grow very rapidly, and a very unhappy population will affect the fighting quality of your armies as well. http://www.civilization5.com/#/community/feature_happiness Gold has received changes as well
