"There is a temporary outage of the Battle.net service. Please try again later." I'm with tech support about this issue currently. I'll keep you guys updated if I get any useful information.
-EDIT- Resetting your password as someone recommended does not work, ignore that post.
-EDIT 2- Apparently Blizzard themselves think resetting the password is a fix. This is bad news for us if they've stopped looking for a solution.

Well, according to the guy I was talking to there is no solution except to wait for them to fix it for all of us.

I'm getting this, too. A Blizzard Support guy told me there's nothing I can do except wait for them to fix it because my account is flagged as EU, for some reason. Oh well... Tester v Idra should be entertaining.

Ugh, I'm still unable to connect. This is unforgivable for a $60 product. This isn't beta anymore. And because we can't log in, we can't even play single player. Damn you Blizzard - you better get this fixed fast as hell.

Same old shit, and their support queue is full so we just gotta wait it out i guess, the blizz guy this morning told me that the higher-ups of blizz just got the message about it like at 10:30 AM in the morning, which means there was no hope of getting it fixed for 10 whole hours after the midnight launch. Its about 2:30 PM now, fm...l I work the next 5 days....just gimme this one day off to play!

Just got off the phone... it means that you're bnet account is registered to the wrong area. I don't understand HOW. Because mine definitely says "NA" it says "Your region should be 'Americas'" and the client I downloaded was "NA." They said despite all this, I must have accidently put in all this information saying I was in the United States when I was on the European site. Meaning, if you're on eu.battle.net and they ask you "where do you live," and you respond, "USA" then it'll recommend you the NA client despite them setting you up on the European Server. HOW RETARDED.
They currently have no fix. But they are "aware of the issue." Waited 1 hour and 22 minutes on the phone for customer service to tell me this.

Well i have something that might be related, they tell me my account is not linked to any sc2 game (while in the sc2 connect screen) then when i click on the link i go to firefox and on battle.net which tells me that my game status is "active"...
45€ for a non working game, gee thanks!

I have the temporary outage error. I too called tech support and they also gave me the European site/server explanation. I too have triple checked my Battle.net and can read "NA" right next to the Region label on SCII:WOL. I played the beta with no problems why now!? I was so hoping to be able to play this game before I had to go out of town to record a few songs with my band XD

We are aware that some players are receiving the following error message when attempting to log in: "There is a temporary outage of the battle.net service. Please try again later." If you are currently receiving this message, please log into Battle.net (http://www.battle.net/account) and reset your account password using the reset option. After waiting for 30 minutes, log back into the game client.
