Jobless's opponent ignored all communication for 30 minutes and then reported a win without playing. Jobless was there trying to talk to him the entire time and we have proof that his opponent saw and ignored it. We wouldn't have the match reversed simply because of some player complaining about a noshow without enough proof to be 100% sure it was a fake result.
wait what? I was in the irc channel the whole time and on bnet looking for him. I added him to friends list through his identifier and the whole 20-30 minutes between those rounds he wasn't logged on. I asked you guys what to do and you guys gave me the defwin. How did i ignore all communication for 30 minutes?
ShadowDrgn: Strifeco never responded to Jobless' messages. By the time we saw it, it was after two rounds had been played.

Before the incoming shit storm I read the IEM's rules there are situations laid down for awarding points for bad manner and insults.. think they can probably quote enough of those to back up the season ban. Anyways commence to go nuts.

i wasnt contacted about this at all till lastshadow msn's me, i tell him to tell you ill play in an hour, you can see the log that was posted. but if you wanna add another bout of incompetency onto your record thats fine by me.
Idra kind of has a point, even though ESL admins can probably find enough instances of him insulting people ot tack on how ever many 3 point penalties they want.
I think it's funny that everyone jumps on the IdrA hatetrain when 3,000+ viewers saw BigT basically taunting and berating IdrA and when it came time for BigT to ask IdrA to cast his game he expected IdrA to say, "YEAH BRO!" after he gave him shit for a good two minutes in in game private messages. I'm not an IdrA apologist, but it's not like the streamer showed much professionalism in asking for a cast, regardless if BigT talked to Beef before hand or not.
On stream-chat, a lot of viewers were asking BigT to just stop whispering IdrA but he kept digging his grave instead of letting tournament organizers take care of it. I really don't want to give BigT too much shit, because he does a really good job when he's casting, but if you want to shoutcast matches with topnotch pros, especially ones as polarizing as IdrA (because obviously it's more viewership for you as well), act like a professional.
If someone had just spent a good few minutes BSing me and then asking for a cast I would have said to "f off" as well....not that anyone would want to watch my games =]

What's insulting is the lack of organization in this tournament. How can a tournament organizer let two rounds be played (with a caster!) before catching something like this?
I don't see the problem at all. If he bad mouths fine, but it should in no way lead to a season ban. He even said he would play ? As stated before ESL has a so and so reputation already, they are just adding to their woes. I just hope they go back on this and try and run a good tournament instead of trying to run something that is starting to look like a power game. ESL screwed up with the guy who cheated, I understand IdrA would be annoyed specially when they didn't inform him right off the bat ?
I'm not exactly a fan of IdrA, but I can completely understand where he's coming from here. It's the admins' responsibility to keep track of stuff like this, and even more so to keep everyone involved informed of what's going on. The fact that IdrA wasn't even aware of the situation until Last Shadow informed him via MSN says a lot.

I agree here. Everyone will see this as an ESL screw up if tonight they don't have a rematch as Idra requested. If you lose the best player in the world due to your own lack of organization, then that is a pretty big screw up.
I can't see how you can ask for someone as busy as Idra to re-play rounds he already progressed through because of organization error, regardless of any manners or lackthereof.
The second his match against strifeco was played, there can't be any backtracking imo. The onus was on the organizers to make sure it didn't happen.
And regardless, it seems a little unfair to imply strifeco acted improperly.
