I am ordering this app ONLY BECAUSE I see that it has full series' from MLG and also some Day[9] dailies, as well as a few good casters. Most of the casters on the list from sc2casts.com are not the greatest so they aren't really worth paying for the convenience factor of having them all in one app. Anyways the things I mentioned before make it worth it to me, so keep the tournament vods coming!
Anyways thanks for the app!
P.S. I do not mean this to bash casters, that's why I didn't name any in specific. I DO appreciate what all the sc2 casters out there do even if I don't like them personally. If they get viewers to watch them then more power to them! Plus it isn't like I could do any better... haha.

Just bought and tried out SC2Casts HD for the iPad. The software itself works well, but it seems to suffer from the same issue as the iPad's own Youtube app: on high quality it can't keep up with the bandwidth for some reason, causing pauses every 30-40 seconds. According to the iPad speedtest.net client, my download speed is 8.7mb/s (my WLAN router doesn't have N-support) and my actual WAN connection is about 18mb/s, so when watching the casts on my desktop PC, there are obviously no pauses or bandwidth issues.
One request I have would be to allow to manually specify the quality of the video you want from within the SC2Casts application. The fact that I am connected via WLAN for example, does NOT automagically mean that I want the highest quality video possible. What if I am at a friend's place who does have WLAN, but only has a 2mbit outgoing connection?
I wonder what my problems are actually caused by: is it really that 8.7mb/s WLAN connection is plain not enough to watch the high quality streams without pauses or is there some fundamental problem with the iPad that affects both the stock Youtube application as well as the SC2Casts app?

It's difficult to get a constantly fluid video in HQ over 3G (be it on YouTube or w/e), but it's ok. My actual problem is: This app won't launch on my device (4.0.1, 3GS, jailbroken)... Quite sad.

This is an ipad wide issue with youtube videos. I've found a solution (weird as it may sound) - try different DNS addresses on the iPad (google for it, there are some free-open dnses)

I actually work in support and a weird DNS issue is about the last thing that would pop on my mind regarding this particular problem. Forcing Google DNS into the settings seems to have actually solved it.

iPad yes, but isin't an iPod or iPhone screen Just. Too. Small. for SC2 vod's?How can you see anything, and how could you see the resource counts and numbers of units being built.
That's my biggest concern for this app, that SC2 (or SCBW for that matter) need bigger screens. Can anyone who has this tell me if the screen of their handheld is sufficient? thanks

awesome app, i use it every day... a few things that could improve it though:
-the app does seem to crash every once and a while when i change menu's, so that needs to be fixed.. -i wish there were a show winner spoiler button just so i could see who would win in some games because i like to watch zerg win in games but its so annoying trying out every replay and watching them lose every game -show the GSL games! if i could watch tastosis casts on the GSL, i would use this app at least twice as much because those are the best.
just my feedback. great app in general
