Borderlands Votes are up. Vote away!
/edit: i recommend to actually get the original game, but only if you have at least one buddy to play with. The multiplayer is pretty fun! Never tried any of the DLCs though, so can't comment on that.

I'm so angry I didn't get the bioshock combo. I've never played them and I should have gotten them.

Borderlands (GOTY) amazing game, I got it for Xbox but buying it for PC as well just because it is 7.50 for everything. I paid 60$ for the game and 5$ per DLC when they came out. The DLCs are worth buying the GOTY for, only like 2$ more
Oh wow just noticed your pricing, the GOTY is only 2$ more than the original for me. Paying 2$ for 4 DLCs is pretty good.

DLC's are alright, I made the mistake of just playing through it on my own, and it's just not that great a singleplayer game in my opinon. Quests were really weirdly organised, if you do all of them you outlevel the main questline by tons, also sometimes you got quests in old areas way after you'd finished up the main quests in those places.
There's scavenger quests to piece together broken weapons, that just did my head in majorly in the end.
I played my first playthrough as mordechai, the sniper, and ended up spending way more time with a shotgun/smg/machinegun than with my sniperrifle. Would probably be different as a coop though, but as a singleplayer game it was disappointing. Halfway through the game I went back to my "gap-game" heroes of might and magic 5 and finished both the expansions because I couldn't be bothered.

i just noticed, a Magicka Complete Pack is also for sale! get that if you don't have magicka yet, and again: get friends to play it with to buy it too! Super coop fun ("YOU KILLED ME AGAIN OMFG!! IDIOT!")
Go and vote your opinion on that game too!

Im really enjoying boarderlands, got a few friends to play with too, but so far i have just done a bit of single player.
I would reccomend it for $7.50 i mean you will get a lot more out of it then a happy meal.

Spot on
Today's deal is 40% off Civ V and all DLC's.

Which is a terrible deal -- for Europe at least. Really, steam prices for "AAA" games are insane. It's roughly twice as expensive as a boxed copy(which registers on steam).

Yeah ridiculous, not all games are registerable on steam though, some have different steam versions, which get updated independently (Sacred 2 and Crysis 2 are some that I own)

Borderlands is cool, with this sales it's a good price to pay for it + all DLCs.
|
I'm quite happy with Borderlands GOTY. I had it on Xbox but none of the DLC so 7.50 for the game and all the DLC was too good to pass up. I look forward to diving into it again. It definitely is one of my favourites.
I also grabbed Bioshock for 5 bucks a few days back. Haven't been able to play it yet. Too busy with finals.

How much is it in Europe? I just checked amazon and ebgames its like ~20.00+ USD. Can you really go to a store and get it for like 3USD?
For brand new AAA games in the US the steam price is the same as it would be in stores if not $10 cheaper. (Normally 50-60 USD in stores and in on steam)
In any case Civ V and all DLC is 40% off today.

Which is the price I'd pay to buy it at launch in a web shop instead of on steam. Currently it's 18 euro's in my customary web shop, and that price isn't temporary.

Yeah, the difference between real stores and steam is negligible, the difference between webshops and steam/stores isn't.

Poll for Civ V is up!
Also, the borderlands sale was taken offline, but borderlands GOTY is still on sale. So i'll leave the poll up for now, you can still vote.
|
I feel like I should wait for civilization to go on sale for like 5 bucks at Christmas. Patience! portal 2, and shogun 2 too, too much waiting!

Bioshock 2 is on sale at D2D, 75% off which is $4.95.

i put up a poll for the splinter cell pack in the OP. it's a ton of splinter cell stuff for -60%.
|
I voted no, only because I own all of the splinter cell games.

you're supposed to vote a recommendation, not what you did in your individual situation :p
