Hello TeamLiquid readers,
myMYM conducted an interview with one of the semi-finalists of the GSL May Code S, sCfOu. In this interview, he talks about his performance in GSL, his team, his favourite players, his real life and more. You can find below an excerpt of this interview.
You reached the semi-finals of the GSL May Code S losing to NesTea in a very close match. What do you think about your performance in this tournament? Were you expecting another outcome against a player considered as the best Zerg around? Nestea doesn't play properly or seriously on ladder, so I thought he wasn't that good but when I played versus him in the GSL MAY Code S semi-finals, he was very good so I was caught off guard.
You managed to top your group consisting of Terran players only. How good do you think your TvT is? I think my TvT is as good as MarineKing's haha.
You faced another Terran player in the round-of-16, Polt. He is none other than the player who eliminated the two-time GSL winner, MC. Were you confident before this match or were you worried by the fact that he eliminated the best player in the world? When Polt beat MC, I was a little scared because he seemed better than I thought but when I practiced my TvT, I won almost all my games so I got confidence from that.

Very nice, sCfOu is a great terran!

Wow I thought this was a really good interview. The questions lead to very interesting responses... too many to highlight to be honest. I hope sC does well in the future.

Not much of a dark horse anymore!
Thanks for the interview.

sC is pretty much going to be the next champion. He is so good.

Great interview. Not sure I agree on the korean style being better. I think Koreans play more rusky, take that as you may.
|
Wow, someone is a little cocky, saying he's better than MVP in TvT.
|
Hmm I'm surprised sC knows of Select. Has he played him in an FXOpen or something?

Yeh I was thinking the same thing!
Awesome interview guys, really loving all these interviews coming out of Korea recently with the non MC/MVP/NesTea type players
good to know the other guys in the scene a bit better

I like that he's very confident He seems to think very highly of Inca

sC's been consistently doing well in the background behind all the hype for other players. Glad to see him get a little spotlight of his own :D

Interview sounded nice and happy despite me not really liking the player. Great interview!

I don't see why people think sC is all that great. He beat July using really exploitative timing builds and won the first game with NesTea with a bunker rush. In the fifth game, his Tank positioning and control was great, but NesTea made a lot of early mistakes in that game as well.

Oh. very nice to see an interview with sC. He didn't get much respect despite making R8 last season, but I think people really sat up and took note this season with some impressive play across both the TvT and TvZ matches.
I'd speculate his comment re: foreigner vs korean playstyle is somewhat influenced by his first hand exposure @ the fxopen, he won most of his matches vs non-koreans pretty handily, and even when he was in a tricky spot things worked out for him.
Looking forward to seeing what the future holds in store for him!

this interview kinda comes off as.. elitist..without the results to back that up.I don't mind if people talk the talk.. but make sure you can walk the walk first <,< if you understand my drift, high placement =/= you are as good as others, like for example how can he say his TvT is as good as foxer who at least has some medals (albeit silvers)
not that i hate the fellow, i just think hes being overrated atm, a couple good games isnt the same as consistently being good for awhile.

lol what a joker. sC thinks he's as good at TvT as marineking and a little better in skill than MVP. I totally forgot how young he is. sC will be around for a long time, now if only he played on a better team he could have better practice partners.

Anypro beat July. sC took down Losira.

Wow I didn't know he was so young. He's only 16 years old(real age). That's younger than Marineking. He's got a little catching up to do, but I can see why he looks up to MKP given his success and the age likeness.

myMYM myEG? Is that a coincidence or is theres some story behind that?

MarineKing Jr is a little cocky or he wasn't very serious (about Bomber and Mvp)?
