Its a bummer people are abusing your generosity like that.
I wasn't a nice guy and or 'handing around' my account sir, my account and password were both assigned by NASL and its a yopmail email.

Wow that sucks, I hope everyone will read this. Trolls are really hurting the community with this kind of bs .

Thank you for taking the time to explain, CatZ. <3
It makes me quite sad that someone pretended to be you and said all those things, trying to put you in bad light

I'm not sure if I completely understand what you're saying, so please correct me.
The Rootcatz account shown spoiling NASL results was assigned by the NASL? And only the NASL and you have access to it, because you didn't hand your account out to anyone else? Thus, if it wasn't you, it must have been someone on NASL staff?
The fact that it must be someone on NASL staff is further supported by the fact that they knew the results. Again, please correct me if I'm wrong about anything, because I am a little confused.

again it is not my intention to accusse anyone or cause any drama. I did not say it was on that NASL account, I have no way of knowing who went on what account or if a new account was made. but yes you are correct as far as my NASL account is concerned, more than one person has access to it, as all accounts were assigned to us by NASL. idk if its the case with anyone else, all i know about that account is its often used to cast games.
And yes, I pressume whoever was pretending to be me / spoiling results, knew the results beforehand or what happened in those games, how? i don't know, this was a very frustrating situation for me, and i wanted to explain everything to the best of my ability/knowledge, as mentioned earlier its not my intention to accusse anyone or cause more drama

It's a shame that it was actually someone posing as you.
I'm glad you were able to clear this up Catz, a bullshit accusation like this could go a long way

Thanks for the heads up CatZ. You truly are an amazing player.
You should quit smoking though.

Catz, I want to clarify one thing: are you implying that a member of NASL is trying to sabotage you? That is the only reasonable conclusion to be drawn from your post, considering that only one other ROOTCatZ is registered on NA ( http://sc2ranks.com/search/starts/us/rootcatz ), and it has been claimed to be used by NASL for observation. Also, that whoever impersonated you clearly knew the exact results of the game right after it happened, which obviously means they are working for NASL.

You are going a bit fast there. I see no reason for the NASL to do this.
I was a bit shocked when I saw the ss myself, but Catz explained it perfectly. The only thing that bothers me, and I assume many others, is how could someone know the games? I mean, the results is 1 thing, but what actually happens is a step higher imo. I'm also pretty sure NASL didn't say that. I see no reason why they should.

Yes that is obviously the only possible exlanation. Please do go ahead and jump to conclusions, and while you are at it put some words into his mouth.
Surely in such a secretive and seclusive world as the online starcraft community nonthing else could have happened.
Definitely a good thing no new separate thread was created for this, let's hope not as many trolls + drama stirrers wander in here as would have to be expected in a general thread~~

The lack of logic from some people accusing things is phenomenal.

I guess they don't show up on the search list if they don't have ladder games played?

Also, guys please remember that there is no name dupe protection in battlenet. There are several people with the same name, the only thing that changes is the character code. We've seen someone named ROOTDestiny talk to him on his stream before, so it didn't have to be someone with access to CatZ's account
|
I don't know why anyone would do that impersonation, but I also don't see why catz would make those statements either.
I suppose it's possible some troll found catz' nasl game account and looked at the match history, but it's sad to think someone could possibly go that far to troll someone cool like catz...

Still, how did the person imitating CatZ know exactly what happened in the games right after they happened? It has to have been someone involved in NASL, unless NASL somehow mistakenly invited a stranger to observe that was using CatZ' name.

Ah, didn't and still don't really understand how NASL manages its players, accounts and such.
I haven't read much about you spoiling game results, but whatever drama has come of this hopefully dissipates soon. Anyone with half a brain would know that this kinda immature BS wouldn't come from the CatZ! 4 drone rushes and proxy hatches sure, but not game spoiling BM.

Nice CatZ. I never saw this spoiler stuff before I saw your response to it. A certain amount of transparency is required. It's a little annoying that there are "identity thieves" out there that would cause you to do this. No stress. You're measured by your play, and not by anything else! Sad this stuff needs to be addressed.
We win!
