Bukcs could beat the Raps, but I think the Raps with Gasol/Ibaka match up better with the Sixers. I also think the East is all the sudden right up there and might be the hardest series GSW play.

What timing but I see FVV and Lin playing together as a second unit but guard defense will probably be awful with both of them on the court at the same time. FVV plays better on-ball than Lin. FVV is a smarter player than Lin. To quote Kyle Lowry : "Freddie is a very good point guard... a very very good point guard" FVV has the same issue as Lowry... he plays such a high intense physical game its hard for him to stay healthy.

edit: Forgot to mention FVV isn't that great of a shooter and Toronto really lacks shooters but he is better than Lin in that regard.

I mean quoting a teammate is nice but according to what I see in their play styles Lin will more than likely control the ball when they are BOTH on court. That is unless it turns into the Kawhi show as he clearly hasn't adapted into the rotation as fluidly after being traded from the Spurs. edit: Forgot to mention FVV isn't that great of a shooter and Toronto really lacks shooters but he is better than Lin in that regard. Evidence of FVV's ability to run an offense is in his assist to TO ratio of 3:1 as a very young player. Lin didn't attain the coveted assist to TO ratio of 2:1 until he was 26. FVV has existing familiarity with Ibaka, Siakam, Powell and OG. Look for FVV to run the offense most of the time when they are both on the floor. Right now, FVV runs the offense as reasonable amount of the time when Lowry is on the floor with him. If FVV were even average in that area Lowry would be running the show. oh and... I think Raps have 76ers, but I figure they lose to Celtics or Bucks, so however the seeding shakes down decides whether it's 2nd or 3rd round. I'm very concerned about Lowry's health. We need him shooting 35%+ from 3 and he's been shooting bricks for almost a couple of months already (apart from a few exceptions). What we had all hoped was just a slump here in Toronto is looking like it may be what we're getting from him for this year. The Raps overall just don't have the consistent 3ball that they need. It was supposed to be Lowry and Miles, but we all see how that's gone... Green, FVV and Powell are the guys I'm looking at to bring those 3ball numbers up. I'm seeing too many of the same trends in their games that I've seen from years past, but admit they don't seem as extreme. The good news is that Leonard is no DeRozan, he plays D and can score consistently in the playoffs. And guys like Danny Green and the improved play of Siakam really shows on D. There isn't a guy on this roster's top 8-9 right now that truly makes me fear having them on the court defending, which is a nice feeling (especially from a guy that remembers the last Vasquez season with T.O. *Shudder*).

It was supposed to be Lowry and Miles, Going into tonight's game Lowry is 27/65 his last 8 games from 3. that is 41%. Nurse said they identified a mechanical flaw in his 3 point shot. i think he was 3/7 tonight from 3. So he is 41+% the past 9 games. A few of those 3 point shots include impossible shots taken at the end of the shot clock because the offense FUBAR-ed the possession. Of course, he is partially to blame for that because he is usually playing the point.... but not always. Rumours of the Celtics and Lakers competing for Anthony Davis prompted The Athletic to use this picture in an article about the topic.. its "old school cool". + Show Spoiler +
