Can't wait to see what this off-season looks like. The Super team era is about to hit its prime. Maybe Kyrie and Durant want to put the Knicks back on the map. Maybe Durant heard from LeBron that joining up with Kyrie and bringing a championship to another team is a good way to repair your image after joining a superteam.

Porzingis did request a trade from the Knicks because he was unhappy with their direction. This came out pretty fast after that.

Now NY has so many space to move this summer, Dallas must pray that Porzingis is not the flop that he looks like and he'll come back 100% healthy (and i really don't think that this will happen).

I wonder if this one will happen as fast as the Zinger deal! not sure how i feel about deals that dont even make u a contender and destroys ur cap in 2 years, that deal at best keeps utah in the playoffs into a 1st round exit i think it was kenny that said it last night, u gotta prepare urself for the post-warriors era and this definitely doesnt do that for the jazz, unless they think warriors will still dominate the next 2-3 years

They also understand that they will likely never get a top grade FA to sign with them so trading and drafting is it. This would make them better and they might think if GSW have a big injury or something they have a shot. Also I'm not a big fan of the whole championship or tank mentality. I mean the league would suck if that was the case, for the product which drives TV revenues which is the major thing that makes owners money it is better for everyone to at least try to win, warriors or not. You also have the looming thought that Durrant might sign elsewhere, and boogie likely will unless he sucks and can't get the kind of money he would have commanded before the injury.

Championship or tank is a parody of what people actually want their teams to do. They want the team to have a chance to get to the conference finals without 75 different contingencies happening. That is why, for instance, I think the Lakers have such a shitty Anthony Davis package. A team of Ball, Kuzma, Hart, Zubac, and Ingrahm still needs to add 2 players that are better than all those players to win a 2nd playoff series.

I also think attendance at T.V. numbers tell you people actually prefer their team to be at least in the playoff hunt.

The owners aren't going to collectively embrace the championship or bust mentality. The fans who want championship or tank aren't going to be watching games or spending money during the tanking process. Even if you tank, there's no guarantee that the core you assemble is good enough to contend for a championship. It's going to be a never ending tank for certain teams.

Totally insane, especially considering Jordan and Matthews will leave the Knicks once this season ends. The entire thing was one giant salary abortion by Dolan to clear playing time and cap space for rookies and Sophs. It makes sense but boy is it ugly.
