Congratulations to Reynor. I LOVE seeing stories about young people being successful and doing awesome things in fields with people who are much older, and I hope he continues to have tremendous success in the game. painuser made GM once. painuser finished third at an mlg, not sure what you're trying to say he was a good player by foreign standards in early WoL My point was that even if he was good at the game for a while, he wasn't intelligent enough to manage an heathly lifestyle and finish being terrible a the game and sleeping like 3h a day for years. Managing to reach GM doesn't make you responsible, especially if you are 12. You need support to learn how to live healty. good thing he has parents then, which if you had read the thread instead of being stuck on bashing his lifestyle, you would have realized they are heavily involved in this Because letting your kid playing past 4AM is being heavily involved like they should.
Ah, how many kids do you have again? Please don't be that guy lecturing others on parenting.

You know nothing about the person nor about the situation, but yet feel like you have some sort of insight worthy of an opinion. Newsflash: you don't.

And for your question, I dont have any, but I work with a lot of them and I know that lack of sleep and poor scheduling is really bad for their health, and you can say whatever you want, you can't deny that fact. And I know for sure that it's been weeks that the kid plays past 3AM.

No, it just gives you no insight on how to raise a kid. Don't tell others what to do because you don't have any idea yourself.

How am I not competent for raising kid when I do that for more than 5 years and I have a lot of experience in the domaine ? Do you want me to give you study on how sleep deprivation affect the life of one? Or are you intelligent enough to guess by yourself how harmful it is?

Ah, so you now know how many hours he's sleeping? You got a camera next to his bed I assume. Or maybe you're just intelligent enough to guess. If you're going to make the argument that young boys sleeping until noon during summers now and then is a horrible thing, well then I don't know what to say.

I don't know why it's so hard for you to realize you know nothing about this whole situation and to let it go. Guess being on the internet does that to you. Did your parents let you sit at the pc for too long and now you can't stop until you're right? Bad parenting clearly.

Sleep scheduling is as important as having the good amount of sleep. And FYI, kid his age should sleep at least for 10 hours. And considering the huge amount of time he spends on a computer for his age, his lifestyle is everything but a good one.
Anyway, I'll stop there cuz you seems to be an expert on kid's healthcare and if you have kid, I hope you don't let them get these bad habits or you are just a terrible parent. That's my last post on this thread, have fun.

I clearly know what can happen to kids spending all their time on a computer and it's not nice to see. It can lead to severe problems as strong as depression and suicide tendency.

So they knew the identities and ages of every player to ever reach GM every season on every region? Cool story but what's the point in making these claims...

Your argument is so filled with holes that this is the last post I will write (unlike you I actually mean it)
Sitting at a PC doesn't make you depressed. No social activity and no sleeping can make you depressed. Do I need to spell it out to you how dumb what you just said was? I would expect the same from a FOX News reporter. You can sit at a PC for hours on end and still get what you need. You have no idea if that happens or not because you don't know anything about this case, but you feel the need to spout your dumb shit anyway.
But please, prove us all wrong and show me your brilliant study on how a pc monitor causes depression and suicidal tendencies.
Jesus Christ.

As SuperHofmann stated, his parents are heavily involved, and monitor constantly the health and education of their kids (yes, they have more than one). Fact is that this is none of your business, but fyi we're in summer time in Italy, and school runs from september to june. Moreover you didn't read well the OP, as Reynor is currently in mYi gaming house, that's called holiday, thing you clearly don't grasp (and I suspect it's not the only thing).
By the way, when I was 12 I was used to pull all nighters on Civ 1, and look what, 24 years later I've not developed depression, suicide tendency, nor childish flaming tendencies.

Since when having such a father makes you a child psychiatrist? Mine was a bartender, and I don't run around drunk my whole time.
You really know what can happen to kids spending all their time on a computer? I do. Man, you're the star.

And ofc these reactions usually occure when the kid reach his adolescence. And i'm not talking about playing on a computer like a hobby, I'm talking about spending the big majority of his time on it. And you can lol as much as you want, it aint really funny tho.

Tell me, exactly what's your source for this information? You know his daily schedule of studying, playing, sleeping (things we actually do) or you're just trying to appear bolder than you actually are?

Jesus Christ. Can you even read FFS? Did I say that playing computer lead to suicide ? I spend a lot of time on the computer, that doesn't make me want to kill myself. That might be because i'm not using my native language here, but what I mean is that abusing of the computer, and having poor sleeping habit, can lead to bad tendency that can be quite severe. You need to have a good lifestyle and that was my point. I talk to kids that were recluse because of their computer addictions. And they had symptoms of depression.

I played him late at night quite a few time, and i'm not the only one. And he has a huge amount of games already.
