This.
I'm smiling now, thank you.^^
In other terms: zerg seems to overrun the OSL after it happenend only to the MSL in the recent past.
You can really never count Stork out. The only active players who has been in as many OSL finals as him are Jaedong and Flash. So I guess one of Flash vs Stork vs Jaedong is the most likely final. But since JangBi is so hot right now, he might be able to take out Flash's wrist and meet Stork in the finals.
Or knowing the OSL Jaedong will beat Flash in the Ro8 and JangBi will use his so hot right now powers to win over Jaedong.

as long as JD, flash, fantasy, and stork make it out, this OSL can still be really good. I think the ideal Ro8 would include those 4 plus hydra, baby, calm, and jangbi. just too bad that stork/fantasy/calm/sorta baby are slumping pretty bad right now lol
How dare you doubt the Hyuk!?
Anyways, it's impossible to tell what will happen without seeing the groups. All the terrans are semi-slumping right now, so how they perform will affect the amount of zerg survivors greatly. If this was last season it would have been a zerg slaughter.
we're only gonna have 1 group with 3 zergs and 1 terran, 3 groups with 2 zergs, 1 group with 2 terrans. Tosses obviously in different groups. In other words, each group is 2Z + 1T + 1 of (2P, 1T, 1Z), and hopefully most of the zergs will go down in that stage.
They got rid of that a long time ago. I remember the all-zerg group in ever 2008 osl.
I still don't understand this aversion that so many people have for ZvZ Bo3/5.
Dude, ZvZ is the WORST matchup because it never changes. There are only Mutas, Scourge, and Zerglings involved - EVER. I have not seen a ZvZ in the past year which got out of lair tech - most are just repeats of Muta v. Scourge battles - the only variation we see is when the pool goes down. PvP, while more chancy, is at least entertaining - players actually make different kind of units. TvT is amazingly intense, always gets to late game and tons of units. ZvZ? Boring.

I do agree with the overall point that TvT is in general a better MU to watch, but you might be selling ZvZ short a bit

lol. Only two protoss'? Haha and one of them was seeded, I bet Stork would have been eliminated if he had to go through prelims. I don't see any protoss winning an individual league soon.. :/

A) Wow, 10 games? How many ZvZ's' have been played during this time period? Did you know that providing counterexamples to a general assumption is a logical fallacy? I've seen >25 recent ZvZ, nothing but Mutaling/Scourge.
B) As far as Shark's articles, the fact that larvae are involved in production still doesn't make the game any better.
C) Nothing you've said shows that ZvZ is more interesting than any other matchup. Doesn't matter if it's good or not - the reason we don't want ZvZ is because any other single matchhup is more exciting. Especially in a Bo3 or Bo5. TvT gets into late game almost always, and while PvP tiruns into something of a coin flip rock-paper-scissors, at least it's not a rock-rock game 90% of the time.
D) One player, Great, is involved in 60% of the games you mentioned...he himself said that he wants to lead the trend out of "boring" ZvZ. Unfortunately, that doesn't really help the situation - only 4 times has any other player decided to break out of this trend. This and common sense dictates that there is no denying that ZvZ is 1) Boring and/or 2) The most boring. And all of this provides more than enough reason against any ZvZ BoX.
Your entitled to your opinion. But instead of looking at my post as an attack on what you think, look at it as an invitation to watch some really cool games that, by your own account, you haven't seen yet.
Ironically, in most of those great games he went hive in response to his opponent going hive first.
I wouldn't call ZvZ the hands-down most boring, though. It may be a bit subjective, but I find TvT the most boring regardless of--or perhaps because of--its usual progression into lategame...
