Had a feeling this was happening for a long time, was basically confirmed when they dropped the CS team.
WMF was my favorite CS team besides '09 fnatic. Not a huge fan of their BW roster but it's always sad to see a team leave, wish them the best in whatever they do.
I do wonder if lyn/moon will retire, stick with wc3, or go sc2 full time though. Also interested in seeing where BaBy goes.

They don't have one. Project_kr was let go a few months ago. After that their star player "solo" went to the army.

Someone mentioned a few pages back their CS team disbanded back in December
anyway, bloody August...always the low point of the year.

Let us pray. I'm tired of hearing bad bw news.
So, in regards to the Brood War team, they lost their sponsor, and now they're asking KeSPA to be an "interim sponsor" while trying to find a new one, such as Korean Air (AirFOX? Air FOX Ace?)?
If that's the case then...that's not that that bad? It sounds like WMF is scrapping their SC2 team (fairly bad if that sinks F United. No big loss if it doesn't) and it's WC3 team (which is apparently really bad for WC3) as well as Counter-Strike (which I know nothing about), to try and keep their BW division afloat. Is that accurate? I suppose it's good for Brood War that they consider all the other games expendable like that, though I don't disagree with their decision.

EG can't afford Moon.
You may never know. What if there 10 sponsors dish out major cash? They can contract him just like that. And going to your other post about moon going to DotA. That would be a very hard thing to pull off because that means moon moves to China and needs to learn a new language and train. Also isn't he married to his girlfriend?
Moon's expensive. I only really see Chinese teams dishing out the money he'd want. (And keep in mind that Moon, in one of the articles I linked to, himself has expressed interest in joining iG.) Additionally, I don't know why EG would pick him up. His SC2 results haven't been amazing, and they killed their WC3 division a while ago; I don't see them going back to WC3 ever. Meanwhile, iG doesn't have a WC3 division as far as I can tell, but with them being a Chinese team, they're probably not averse to starting one. Also, seeing as how Moon is going to play WC3 for the WCG, I kind of expect him to join a Chinese team, whichever one that will be.
Note that I'm not saying Moon is going to DotA - I hope he doesn't, though if he does, I'll always be a fan and try to force myself to sit through his DotA games, no matter how boring I think DotA is to spectate - I'm just the messenger delivering the rumors.
(And yes, he is married.)
EDIT: Forgot to add that with iG flinging around money like there's no tomorrow - seriously, six million USD for CCM is fucking ridiculous - I wouldn't be surprised if they just bought WMF's WC3 division. I might even prefer it that way, to be honest.

As far as WC3 goes: all of the WMF warcraft3 players were mostly SC2 players these days anyway (Moon, Soccer, Lyn). And my understanding of competitive WC3 these days is that you either move to china or switch to sc2 anyway.
