Q: Thoughts on passing through the Up and Downs and advancing to Code S?
A: Last week in the Code A finals I lost completely so I wasn't able to meet my goal of advancing directly. I was fretting about the Up and Downs, but I was confident I could advance so I wasn't very worried. It seems like the games went like I wanted so I was able to advance.
Q: It must have been a shock losing to Curious 0:4 in the Code A finals.
A: Before the games with Curious I had a perfect record against Zergs. Furthermore, I had been doing well in practice against Zergs, so I thought I would win. So I mainly focused on my mental state rather than practice, but Curious researched my play well. After I lost the second set, my mental state got bad, and it seems like I collapsed of my own doing. I want to meet Curious again in Code S and get revenge.
Q: What did you think of today's games?
A: I put a lot of importance on the first game against Terran while I practiced. Whether you win or lose the first game in the Up and Downs is really important, so I had to calm my nerves, but then I won easily so I was able to ride the momentum.
Q: You are being called one of the “New Type” Protosses.
A: A lot of things are being said about me, but I'm not especially aware of them. I think if I play at the level of MC, then I will be able to hear that I am good. I think I will accept those kinds of ratings if I can do well in Code S.
Q: What did you think when you saw your group?
A: After I lost in the finals, I looked at the group layouts and saw that my group had two other Protosses. Usually my PvT isn't especially good, but since the only Terran was Keen I felt content.
Q: What's your goal for next season?
A: I think it has been a month since I advanced through the qualifiers. I had a desire to advance straight to Code S after the preliminaries, and then things went as I wanted so I feel good and I want to show a good result in Code S too. Ganzi won Code A last season then made it all the way to the Round of 4 of Code S. I would like to show a good result like Ganzi. But since there are so many Terrans I'm worried.
Q: Anything else you want to say?
A: Our team's players helped me a lot. Startale's Squirtle and Ace also gave me a lot of advice. I really want to thank them. I was able to advance to Code S, so I won't prepare carelessly and I will show a good result in the upcoming WCG and Code S. There aren't many Protosses in Code S now, but I hope that they can all cheer up and practice hard. Finally, I want to say that I hope Lucky will do well in his games tomorrow.

Q: Thoughts on advancing to Code S after a close match?
A: I lost the first game and had a big blow to my mental state, but some friends cheered me on so I was able to pull myself together. I really thank them. After I lost the first game I thought I would remain in Code A.
Q: Did you like the group composition?
A: There were three Protosses so I liked it. I had a long break after I got knocked out of Code A, but because my ZvP hadn't worsened I felt confident.
Q: What did you think of game 2 against JYP?
A: I thought that if I could win either my game against JYP or against Keen I could advance, but I didn't know that game would be that difficult.
Q: You won after a base trade, but you must have been very worried.
A: Compared to the other matchups, lately I feel best about my ZvP. It seems like today's decision to base trade was good. Lately my decisions in practice are good so there are a lot of situations where I win in comebacks.
Q: You were in a situation where if you lost the last game you would be knocked out.
A: I felt confident that I could advance if I won either my first or my second game. It was possible for me to advance comfortably based on the ninth game, but that didn't happen so I was disappointed. That was a little regrettable.
Q: You had stayed in Code A for a long time, but now you've advanced to Code S.
A: I had stayed in Code A longer than Leenock, so this is really surprising. Even this time I just got good luck; my skills don't feel on the Code S level.
Q: What kind of games do you want to play in Code S?
A: Usually there are a lot of things I need to practice, but since I practice more with other players than on ladder the number of games is rapidly decreasing. I think if I can just fix that I will be able to show good games in Code S.
Q: What's your goal next season?
A: Since my first goal was to get through the Up and Down matches today, I haven't yet set a goal for next season. I think I will go home and start worrying about it.
Q: Anything else you want to say?
A: I want to thank NsHoSeo's Sia, San, Tassadar, and Shuttle for their help in practice. If there are any players whose names I forgot to mention I hope they will understand.
When I saw today's B group players, I counted myself out and thought they were all very good. So I decided I absolutely had to win (laughs). I hope that the players who got knocked out will not get too distressed. I want to thank the Director for guiding me well.
