Might be able to change PvP for the worse too, I can foresee an occasion where 1 player goes robo and the other goes DT, replicant + obs spotting the DT could mean gg as the DT player would not be able to detect the replicated DT. I feel the possible new Protoss units would not eliminate protosses weaknesses, they will still be weak in the early game as there does not seem to be any buffs or new upgrades to gateway units/ nerfs to t or z T1. The oracle does not look like it will be an effective harass unit unless the building lock ability works on hatcheries, lairs, comand centres and can prevent MULEs,scans and larva use as well as workers returning resources to the "locked" building. However I am looking forward to how the oracle could be used in conjunction with the DT where the oracle can disable turrets, cannons and spore crawlers and the DT can take them out while they cant shoot, detect. As for the Tempest, I feel this unit would only be effective vs bad players who have not learned to avoid units like the tempest with units like mutas, unless it is faster then mutas or gets some ability to help it to catch them I feel this unit would never be used in games with good players. I would much prefer to see the phoenix get AOE damage on its attacks aswell as AOE graviton beam for many reasons, it would be more effective mutalisks en masse, the beam could lift cloacked/burrowed units to detect them (giving toss a form of detection when going for stargate, robo and forge do not really help stargate play and I feel toss really lack a form of detection when going air), this would also make phoenix easier to use, (I also feel this unit is underused in the lower leagues due to the high APM required to make full use of the unit) and it would give it better harrassment options as it could kill more workers with less energy, leaving more energy for things like lifting marines, so toss going phoenix could afford more energy to harrass. This would also bring in another tactical element where the toss could use the fenix just to punish a player who clumps key units (like ghosts) where you could lift a clump of ghosts to prevent a key EMP, while it used to be almost impossible as you would get EMPd before you could lift them all. Sorry about the bad articulation but I had alot to say and was in a rush, will edit later, paddy.

So they create chargelisks a t3 unit and this sounds like a mistake for me. Nevertheless i think chargelisks are cool, but 2 meter burrow sounds and looks weird xD What u think ? I think the Chargelisks is one of the more intelligent changes by blizz. Where the ultra suffers most for been a T3 unit is its melee range and size. Since they're so big they're easy to focus and by the time they've marched into range they're more or less dead, regardless of their ridiculous armour. The charge will serve in getting them to the front where they belong and been able to break enemy lines (to reach siege tanks or something), maybe now they'll finally be a worth while unit. As a toss I'm liking a lot of the changes. Replicant will benefit the smart players, replicating the right key units will greatly improve the strength of your army (replicate cloaked ghosts, EMP enemy ghosts then storm terran ball, stuff like that). Tempest does seem a little ridiculous, having five or six of them and using them on each key zerg structure could be enough to completely shut zerg production down for how-ever-long-it-works, as well as its other cool abilities. The Oracle... meh, I guess it makes more sense than the Carrier or Moma' Ship. As the the Nexus, well I think that's the one all toss players are most happy about. It does kind of feel like a cop-out that rather then trying to mend the race blizzard are basically just starting toss over from scratch. If any thing HOtS makes WoL look like a Beta.

but it's even better than what I expected. I shall be pre-ordering it soon when EU expansion pack is available for pre-order which should be soon. On October 25 2011 19:23 Greendotz wrote: If any thing HOtS makes WoL look like a Beta. I was thinking the same thing.

It better be able to copy MULEs and workers. Also when i copy a ghost i want the nuke too...otherwise i would never vote for this unit as i can not foresee an occasion where the unit would be worth its cost, not like Protoss can instantly take 100 shields off a terran army over 2 radius. Might be able to change PvP for the worse too, I can foresee an occasion where 1 player goes robo and the other goes DT, replicant + obs spotting the DT could mean gg as the DT player would not be able to detect the replicated DT. You want to make a replicant (200 min 200 gas) and replicate a MULE (mine 280 minerals), you would be trading 200 gas for 80 minerals. Doesnt look like a good trade, unless you meant permanent mule. Im not sure but i believe it was mentioned it won't work for massive and workers. I understood the poll as in the unit you most like but it feels like tons of people answered as the unit you think its the most powerful. Voted on Oracle, anything of food/resources you spend on something that isnt included in your death ball is good for me.

I swear, Bliz is trying their best not to bring back the Reaver Lurker and Corsair, when in fact they want to do it so badly. They've already introduced: the "opposite of a defiler" (dark swarm that does the opposite effect + a flying defiler) the "opposite of a reaver" (does massive AOE except in air lol) the "lurker + a twist" zerg seige unit (which functions exactly like a lurker except in a different style) the "corsair 2.0" (lol disruption web anyone?) What's next? BTW I swear, Protoss is just so fucked it's ridiculous. The new terran units, especially the helions, are going to rape you. And the zerg viper is going to snipe all your expensive units then use infestors on them. Aiur... goodbye.
