Great. But I guess when you're representing your sponsers it's important to show the best sportsmanship you can. I mean I haven't ever seen IdrA insult anyone in an actual tourney. When he is laddering its pretty much his own time so he can act how he likes. So I think NaniWa needs to inject a bit more professionalism into his gaming and probably copped the bad end of the deal on this one.
I didnt want to respond in this thread, but are you serious ? Idra the guy who told huk to fuck off on stream ? flipped him off ? flipped MC, hes done many things ...
Lets not say Idra is a horrible person, but hes not a saint and not far from Naniwa.

This whole idra/Naniwa general comparison seems silly.
Naniwa didn't get booted from this GSL due to his personality, or his acts on stream, or anything like that. It was for one specific incident which occurred on the GSL stage.
As for personality, both have provided ample reasons for people to dislike them, but both are also probably pretty good guys the vast majority of the time.

also what Idra does in the western scene is not related to what koreans dont want to see in Korea. Idra never insulted anyone on gsl live stage. he may have rage quitted without gg(cant remember when but maybe against jinro) but so does Naniwa in his last code A game. they let him off that time. this time it is completely different and Idra never did anything like that in Korea.

MLG is not GSL, nor does it follow "korean culture"
IdrA flipping off MC while sitting in the spectator seats with his old girlfriend made maybe .1% of the people who watched upset and the rest laugh and enjoy the rivalry, it made them anticipate the game even more.
IdrA would not get in the GSL booth and call a Code S korean a retard, for example. He understand that Koreans are very touchy and that GSL is probably the most watched and prestigious leave, as well as broad-casted on KR TV.
IdrA was in GSL for what, 4 or 5 months? He never in that time had even one incident, even when bad protoss like Lotze proxy double stargated him out on old maps like Lost Temple, he still GGed and raged later, off camera, to respect the league.

No he's never raged in-game or not GGd in GSL, he did say on SotG that he punched a wall after losing to Zenio. From what I know the only no GG in GSL that wasn't because of a base race was Inca vs FruitDealer (Season 1) which was apparently a mistake.

Okay, this maybe a bit off topic but...
I'm excited Idra is back in Code S. He's got some great rivals there, and I have no idea how the planets would have to align for it to happen, but now Zenio v Idra actually can happen again!
And Sen... your micro makes me want to ragequit the stream. Please stop microing so well, thanks .

I'm really glad to see IdrA in Code S - I'm not so certain about Sen however. He was really strong during the NASL finals, but he looked so weak against HerO in NASL 2

I think Idra and Sen are better choice than Naniwa. Idra is actually quite a pro... I believe all his bm is more for the show.
Sen has beaten Naniwa the last two times they met, and Sen has been consistently good against non-Koreans. I am really looking forward to seeing how he would fare in Code S

Sen gonna own some noobs <3 <3 <3 <3

I think foreigners in the GSL is only a good thing. I would love to see how the season ticket sales vary based on if/how many foreigners are in code S.

I'm super excited for Sen to return to GSL. Moreso than Idra but both are exciting regardless.

Let's be real. Idra only got the invite because he equates to more viewers to GOM.

Naniwa left a game without GG against Lucky in the last season of Code A. That and the Inca vs FruitDealer are the only times someone has left without GGing in GSL, excluding all buildings being eliminated, of course.

Jinro was also in Code S. Guess GOM has to give it back now huh. Him returning to Korea was not GOM's pretext. GOM stated that their reasoning was "outstanding foreign performance". That totally a slap on the face to Stephano. Sen deserves it, but Idra? Come on he only brings with him his massive fanboys and more viewers. This is a business move by GOM. Skillwise he's not even top 5 foreigner.

To be honest, I think we should just wait and see what actually happens in code S and stop whining on the players for being or not being good enuogh. Lets see in a month/2 months...
|
sen came 3rd at blizzcon so thats reasonable for him to make code s. idra won asus rog, iem and 4th at orlando but its totally irrelevant.
they should either give code s to the next ranking foreign in blizzcon who is dimaga, or the next ranking foreign player in mlg providence who is haypro(idra is after haypro).
what i really want to know, though, is how the korean fans react to this whole thing

Can't wait to see IdrA get stomped
