Tired of seeing all these mediocre females getting signed when there are better male players still waiting for a contract. Teams should sign the best player available. They can sign whoever they want without giving you an explanation They can sign a bum off the street without giving me an explanation true -- but that does mean their decision is justified? What has that girl on SlayerS done seen being signed? Zero results, zero news, zero anything.. signing females is pointless. When LA Galaxy signed David Beckham he was most definitely past his prime and also they payed an absolutely RIDICULOUS transfer fee and wage.
So why did they sign him when they could of signed so many better players who wouldn't of costed as much?
because he's David fucking Beckham
same principle applies here as she is eFamous in china.

Agreed, tho i cant really point out exactly why.

So many publicity stunts... I can't wait for TSL to announce that they're the first team to sign a player with only one testicle.

I wonder if she'll be competitive? I don't have a problem with teams signing female gamers, but I'd like to see them actually compete.

Now the real question who will be the first team to sign a white foreign female gamer?
|
Startale's women only division...Coming soon
so what race did she play in w3 if she was pro?
|
very interesting, best of luck to her!!

|
Hm.... Name is very familiar. Didn't she play NElf?
If it's serious I don't mind. If it means more opening towards the Chinese scene I definitively don't mind either. Just hope it's not 100% for publicity. Even then, a wc3 player woo! \o/

When I was told I could become a part of StarTale, it was the happiest day of my life, I still can’t believe it! I will do my best every day, in every game. This is my dream come true.” I'll just have to agree with whoever she talked to. I mean, I understand wanting to follow your dreams... but you're quitting a real job for something that will leave you without a salary essentially and a small place to live shared with a dozen other players (assuming she lives in the team house... otherwise that's even worse because the money for living space would then come out of her pockets) all the while she's a player I had never heard of so she never did anything worthwhile in competitions so far. I know this applies to a ton of other players (I really don't understand how anyone besides the top top top players decide to keep being a progamer when it really hurts their future/education/finances) but in this case she has the added "had a good job" thing going on... Good luck to her, but not a wise decision IMO. you sir are what is wrong with the world. too many people doing what society makes them or thinks they should do. everyone should be doing what they want as long as they dont conflict with the rights of others. everyone would be happier the world would be happier. if i wasnt getting paid for something i liked to do i dunno how i would live with myself edit: would the sc2 scene be this big if people chose not to follow their dreams? doubtful I said it wasn't smart. That's true even if you want to believe in dreams. She had her other job for a while... I'm sure she would've quit it a long time ago if she didn't enjoy it somewhat. And yes, the SC2 scene would be non-existent. I'm aware. It doesn't change the fact that it's a poor choice for a life path for 95%+ of people that choose to do it. *EDIT : And I dropped pharmacy school after 3 years (large salary) to go back to biochemistry research (decent salary) so I know what it is to go and do something you want. But I wouldn't have went back if I made 5-10k a year in research. if they are happy trying to be a pro gamer even if they are in dire poverty it is hardly a poor life decision. who are you to tell them not to go for it? happier people are better people. i live quite comfortably on about 12k a year
Where do you live "quite comfortably" on $12,000 a year?

Skills aside, holy crap she looks like a doll.
So, anyone familiar with the WC3 scene know anything about her?
