Some times I don't feel like doing it but I push myself and after you just feel soooooOOO good. The mental is a big part of it! I hang my head in shame... because I used to have a regular routine until I got involved in a major project at work and now I do overtimes which basically breaks all regularities of after-work hours (so instead of a regular 3/week now it's a sloppy 1-4/week). I should probably get myself back on track before giving health advices out to others haha~

Actually the gym is provided by my employer so it’s free of charge.

it's natural. get over it. no one will remember how you started, they only remember where you end up.

also you dont need a gym. when i first started working out i lifted weights for 2 years but fucked up my back (bad form). now i just do p90 at home. i dont get big like incontrol, but after a 3 month set, i get cut. if you get lazy. you can do a zumba set to stay active and work up a sweat

Also my cardio sucked... I tried working out at the gym but didn’t like it, 30 minutes in the elliptical and 5 Min of crunches was my routine. Did this for 1 month, 3 times a week and didn’t see results got discouraged and stopped. 2 months ago an old friend of mine started working with me. I hadn’t seen her in a while. See she used to be the chubby one back in high school, now she has a mother fucking 6 pack!! I was like WHAAAAAAT!? Tell me all your secrets! And she did. The type of training she does is called HIIT: High-intensity interval training. And honestly, I started that with her 1 month and a half ago and dropped from a size 13 to a size 8. And seriously, I didn’t change my diet at all. It’ a work out that takes 12 minutes, you sweat like crazy, and hurt the next day, unless you stretch properly after. At first it’s only body weight training, so no need for weights or anything. You can do it alone in your basement or whatever. Then after 2 or 3 months when you get better, all you need is a sand bag. The exercises change everyday so its not too repetitive and you get a full body workout which helps tone up faster. I do it 5 times a week and it works wonders! Maybe it’s not a really "manly" work out but honestly you should try it. For more info check that out: http://www.bodyrock.tv/ Just re-read my text and it sounds like a weight loss miracle testimony lolll. But I swear, it’s all the truth. HIIT is pretty good for people in the fat but not obese category HIIT would probably work the best for him to lose weight and gain some tone. The OP sounds like he has never really lifted in his lift before. OP go to your nearest Barnes & Nobles or Hasting or Amazon or largest bookstore and buy this book. Read all of it. It for people who haven't really lifted in their life or have been out of it for years. It will tell you a lot and get you started. Honestly the only part of the book that I wouldn't really follow is the parts about nutrition cause he says a lot about drinking craploads of milk. You will have to change your diest some what so be prepared to slowly change it over time. http://startingstrength.com/ SS wikik Basically what the author does is a KISS method of working out. He puts in a lot of science behind it to help back him up and he is pretty active on his site and has some youtube and blip.tv videos discussing what the stuff in his book and really showing up how to do the proper lifts.
