Gist of it says that the game might not use GFWL after all. Hopefully that happens.

You can get Fallout 3 from Steam (uses GFWL anyways).

You can get Fallout 3 from Steam (uses GFWL anyways). The wording seems to imply that GFWL is exclusive to physical copies though. The PC version of Dark Souls is called the Prepare to Die Edition, and it comes out on 24th August. There's a Games for Windows - Live version that will be sold in shops. Saying "there's a GFWL version" seems to imply that there is a non-GFWL version as well. Nonetheless... MOTHERFUCKING STEAM EDIT: It's probably going to work that you use Steamworks as DRM for Steam version but still have to login to GFWL to use their servers for digital purchase, and you use GFWL for DRM and servers on physical copies. Which I'm okay with.

If it uses steamworks I'd probably buy this straight out even though I've got the PS3 version :D It will most likely not use steamworks and instead just use GFWL which is sad. I also have a PS3 version and I was most likely going to grab a PC version as well just to support these guys but with GFWL i'm having a hard time to convince myself to get that extra PC copy

If it uses steamworks I'd probably buy this straight out even though I've got the PS3 version :D Well, Arkham City is a steam game but ontop of having to have steam, you also have to have GFWL. I don't think they announced it would req GFWL either, but that looks like the same thing thats going to happen to DS PC version. I'm gonna hold out until I see whether or not GFWL is required. I will not purchase this product of it is. Steam is the best-case scenario for DRM, and GFWL is one of the worst. I can't tolerate that shit on my computer again.
