There was a time when no-one could touch him and he delivered a perfect season without a single map lost. There was a time when he inspired John to speak his mind.

His fall is almost as if he can no longer win against the players who now use raw multitasking to beat him. Is he just too old/slow to play anymore, or is he having other problems that once he resolves will allow him to dominate again? NesTea was the GSL for me, and now I am very sad. Long live the god zerg. I've said it before but I honestly question whether he puts much into the game anymore. Yeah sure he doesn't have the greatest mechanics, but as someone who watched his games religiously from the early days his decision making is just bad now (mostly in ZvT). Which is sad, as that was what was originally considered to be his greatest attribute and what won me over as a fan. If anything, what seems to affect his speed is his ineptitude of game flow in the later stages. He's also said in past that he becomes overly anxious as the game goes on, which might explain the totally crap engagements (this lost him his lead big time last night on Whirlwind). Even with bad mechanics there's no reason why you: - don't have important tech in more intelligent places - mass ultras with nothing else, ESPECIALLY if you're in a low economy situation with terran like he did last night (closed the stream soon as I saw pure ultra). It's just never going to work. - skimp heavily on the static defense, or perhaps utilize patrolling banes or even lings. It's like Nestea keeps dying to the same crap and doesn't even bother to try and adapt anymore and seems a little behind in some aspects of the metagame. Still my favorite player though, until another brilliant Zerg appears to inspire me ;; I was on the rebound with Symbol but he keeps breaking my heart when the going gets tough -_- and he's not on IM either.

Holy gravy, that's a lot of old regulars getting knocked out of Code A. Where the heck did these new faces come from??

He just completely stopped developing his play more than a year ago. He heavily outplayed Sparta in the early to mid stages of the game with his muta/baneling play but he's never learned anything more. Back when he was still winning championships, that was basicly the only strat people knew. Terrans learned to not die to that so zergs stopped relying on it. Except Nestea for some reason... :/

And ByuN, Polt, Genius Even Taeja... and Maru was in Open 1 It's really strange to think Maru as an old player but he has been around for forever in SC2 term.

Now, it seems God is indeed dead. Personally, I don't expect him to return. He's old, and more importantly, he himself thinks he's old. He has a girlfriend, too. Odds are, his motivation is in the gutter. He may even retire. Even if he doesn't, I don't expect him to return to his former glory, or anywhere near it. The God of Zerg we knew and loved is dead.

As a huge bomber fan, I gave up betting with reason and letting my heart vote (well, when it's not completely obvious... right ?) This time, it feels really good ! Will keep an eye on Baby, definitely an interesting player to watch.

BaBy is a player that while have good mechanisms, seems to me slow at adapting SC2 build / strategies, at least compare to some other KeSPA players.
