Which YEAR was it when he competed in GSL? China/TW scene makes North America look like Korea, good luck taking a game against the BW elephants and GSL winners.

Sen was a seed into the 2012 Code S Season 1 and went 0-2 (0-4 in maps) against Jjakji and Boxer, both of whom are out of Code A now. However, he did manage to beat True in code A Ro48, but then Sniper took him out. His current TLPD ranking is 5th foreigner. He's also 1-0 in NASL with a win over Stephano... some would say he's pretty good. I'd suspect Sen is still low code A or high B material. So he's got a legitimate chance of getting in, but wouldn't be a favorite to do so. Few if any others can even say that much.

I'm kinda immediately regretting it though, probably none.

http://i.imgur.com/A0Aba.png The verdict: not likely. Seeding into the lower bracket is a mysterious process in WCS. I looked at the European Finals, North American Finals, and Korean National Finals, all 32 man WCS tournaments, and lower bracket seeding has been slightly different for each one. Specifically, the 8 players who lose in Round 2 of the winner's bracket and drop down into the lower bracket are placed in varying order for all three tournaments. Say the 8 players are numbered 1-8 as they appear vertically on the upper bracket. In Korea, the seeding order is 8765 4321, in Europe it was 7856 3412, and in NA it was 5678 1234. I used the Korean model because it's simplest, and in the long run, I don't think it matters much. Since Creator is already qualified for Shanghai, and I put him as likely to make top 6 here, one the 7th/8th players also gets a seed. In my mockup I also put Sen in the top 8, so Curious, the other 7/8th player, would automatically get a spot for Shanghai. For Sen to make it to the top 8, he would have to beat Miya (I think pretty doable). If he then falls to Squirtle (fairly certain), he has to beat PartinG. I don't know if he would actually do that, but I think he could. If not, PartinG would make top 8 and qualify for Shanghai. For a lot of the top korean vs. korean matchups, it's a toss-up. I made a kespa vs. kespa finals for the lols. As for any non-Sen non-Koreans making it the Shanghai, it doesn't seem likely, as the farthest they can go without having to beat a Korean player is 9-12th place. Other than Miya who is a borderline Code A/B player, and herO, who is untested in Sc2, the Korean contingent is too strong. I was concerned that we might get a situation where one of the top Koreans have to knock each other out in an early round of the lower bracket, but WCS has smartly spread them out enough so that that is unlikely to happen.

Man what a relief when i realized my mistake. I feel that there might be one or two non-koreans that will make it, mostly because the Koreans will knock each other out.
