The time has come for our thirty-seventh IGN Pro League Fight Club! This is a weekly king of the hill showmatch series. Basically, there will be a 1 vs. 1 best of 9 showmatch each and every week, where the winner will earn a $500 prize and a $100 bounty on their head. For example, if a player wins three weeks in a row they will have earned $1,500 and a $300 bounty. If a NEW challenger defeats him, they will earn $500 for the showmatch, take the $300 bounty home, and have a new $100 bounty placed on their head for each week that they win.
When: Monday, Oct 22 11:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) (we will also broadcast the match repeatedly afterwards!)
TSL's HyuN is unstoppable and has won Fight Club for ten weeks in a row. Most recently he dominated Team Liquid's newest recruit Sea! His additional victims include IPL4 winner, aLive, IPL4 runner-up Squirtle, and GSL Semifinalists FXO.GuMiho and ByuN.Prime. Can Brown finally take down HyuN and claim $500 and an amazing $1000 bounty!

Hmm, maybe Brown is the one who takes HyuN down ? He did it in Code A.
|
Well, I guess another one being offered as a sacrifice to the Zerg God. I guess Brown qualified for Iron Squid recently so who knows, maybe he'll surprise us.
|
Does that pic of brown look kinda funky to anyone else?
|
For those wondering:
Brown chosen because:
Notably good PvZ lately, defeated HyuN in GSL, availability of him and other players, guarantee from Cella that Brown would beat HyuN.
Though it may seem that IPL likes writing HyuN a weekly paycheck, at this point I am trying to figure out how to defeat him. Thus far unsuccessful.

Uhm was this match played on the 15th? Where can I find the results?

Brown acually has sick PvZ it has always been his best mu I remeber when he sniped Symbol in GSTL last season and he beat Life 4:1 in Iron squid But alot of players who HyuN has face had great vs Zerg just HyuN is so good. Hopefully this will be one of thos PvZ series which is insanely good to watch.
Still think HyuN will win though and if Brown won I think he will be easily dethroned his PvT isnt really the greatest and PvP is PvP so they would have to contantly send Zergs.

Wasn't that Vampire? Unless you're talking about another season.

HyuN is definitely favored here but can't really say that Brown doesn't have any chances beating him. They should try to get CranK next time if Brown loses this. CranK's PvZ is pretty freaking good and I feel he would have better chance beathing HyuN than most players.

They already tried crank, he got played around by hyun like he was a plat player but they'd probably have to re invite or bring in some serious fire power (It'd certainly take an incredible miracle to plant to seeds of his defeat) brown is a good choice his PvZ has always been his main (Albeit for the longest time only) calling card his snipe of symbol in the GSTL was great and has always posted results in PvZ he's got a nice shot but then again so did byun and gumiho and it didn't end well for them so we'll see.

I don't see Brown beating Hyun. 9 games is a very long time and Brown is just not on Hyun's level at the moment.
Please stop bringing up Life vs Brown, it's established that Life threw those games to avoiding the law. Those games don't prove Brown's considerable PvZ skill.

Let's get serious though guys, we know the one player who can stop hyun his eternal nemesis Forsen.

Brown's always had killer pvz If Hyun has an off day maybe he can take it Still, Hyun 5-3
|
Ah excellent. I was wondering who would facilitate Hyun's weekly paycheck from IPL. After this maybe they'll find a worthy Zerg opponent for Hyun.

If Brown loses, IPL please invites Mvp. That would be soooo sick

Maybe the Team MVP would be a better choice ... but HyuN would destroy them too.

Brown was trained at Slayers as a PvZ sniper in Team-leagues and gained very high player snipes most notably in the GSTL semi-finals last season, the only disadvantage Brown has he has pretty much almost zero experience in bo5's never mind bo9's
This will be a interesting match whether Brown can keep up momentum over a long series or just simply run out of ideas
Edit for prediction: 5-4 Brown.
