You successfully advanced to the Round of 16.
I'm not happy about today's games so much as I'm happy about being able to go to the group nominations. There were many deficiencies in my play today that I'll have to compensate for.
What was lacking in your play today?
In my second set against HerO, I had already seen his all-in attack coming and was in an advantageous situation, but I wasn't able to adapt as smoothly as I do in practice.
Your won your final set against HerO without much difficulty. HerO has frequently shown a lack of confidence during interviews.
I had a lot of worries about ZvP today; I wasn't concerned about losing my ZvTs. HerO will have to stay in Code A for another season of training.
During your second set against HerO, you were thrown off balance by your opponent's Warp Prism harassment and defeated with a Mothership Vortex. You must have felt a lot of regret over that game.
I was in a great position during that game, and even when I was at a disadvantage, I could have won using Neural Parasite. Even though it doesn't show on my face, I feel regretful that I wasn't able to recover from the situation.
You blocked your opponent's Immortal rush to win the final game. Did your opponent not put enough soul into his attack?
The situations were different. PartinG begins his rush without having taken damage from any Zergling attacks. I anticipated an Immortal attack in advance and made quick Zerglings to injure him during the early game, and I was already well-prepared to block Immortal rushes [due to practice].
How did you prepare for today's games?
I had to face every race for today's group, but time was too tight for me to prepare for all three matchups. I have always had a lot of confidence in my ZvZ, so I just prepared some builds for that matchup and didn't practice further.
You have made it to the group nominations. Do you have anyone whom you would like to pick in particular?
Because there aren't many players in the Round of 16 yet, I'm not sure. Every player in Code S is strong, but I will choose the ones whom I deem to be Code A-level in order to reach the quarterfinals.
Do you have any last words?
I want to thank my team's sponsors, Zowie Gear, Joy Gear, and Red Bull, as well as my teammates for helping me practice. I didn't know at the time, but two of my friends have taken the CSAT, so I hope they earn good results.

You've reached the Round of 16 of Code S for the first time in your career. Please tell us your thoughts.
I felt very burdened after I received my Code S seed. I was worried because if I didn't show some proper skills, people would begin to say bad things about me. I started off shakily, losing my first match, but my manager helped me to maintain my mental composure and win.
You are the first KeSPA player to reach the Round of 16 this season.
Although I did rise first, I believe that the other KeSPA players will also advance, one by one.
How did you prepare for today's matches?
I couldn't practice very much due to team circumstances. To make matters worse, I was too weak to prepare much because of the cold I caught.
You seemed very unsteady at the beginning, being forced to play in the losers' match.
I think I fell because I wasn't able to warm up properly. I managed to keep my hopes up, though, because I still had an opportunity to play in the losers' match. I wanted to advance to the final match in order to get revenge on HerO.
You defeated Maru during the losers' match without much trouble.
I have always had a great deal of confidence in my ZvT. That's why I wanted Maru instead of Curious to fall during their match.
How did you feel as you went into the final match against HerO, who had previously defeated you 2-0?
All I thought was that I needed to win. I didn't want to lose.
During your second set, which HerO won, you had a massive army advantage but were dragged around by your opponent's harassment.
When I played that game, I was hit with the feeling that HerO is undoubtedly a strong player. Because I hadn't experienced such harassment during practice, I was at a loss.
You've entered the group nominations. Do you have anyone whom you would like to select or avoid?
I'm confident in my ZvT, so I want to pick a Terran if possible.
Have you set any personal goals for yourself?
As with all gamers, my goal is to win the championship. With today's victory, I've gained a lot of confidence.
Do you have any last words?
During the last set, I kept asking myself whether or not I should 7pool, but my manager told me to do what I felt was right, and I was able to win thanks to my manager. Also, the weather has been chilly lately, so I would like everyone to take care not to catch a cold.
