You took down fellow teammate DRG and advanced further. How do you feel?
I can't help but feel like this victory felt the best for me out of all my victories (laughs).
You haven't been to Code s in over a year. So you must be feeling something quite different from the others.
The last time I was in Code S I didn't know anything, I didn't practice, and I didn't prepare properly so I just ended up losing. I am going to make sure I work hard so that I don't repeat my mistakes since I was able to get this far by even going through preliminaries.
In game one, you used a proxy rax build. Did you use this build on purpose so that you could control the flow of the series?
It was an improvised build order once I got to the studio. I only had a day to prepare and my opponent was a teammate so I couldn't prepare well enough. So I just decided "eh, what the heck" and just went for it (laughs).
It seemed like you were about to lose game two but you managed to pull off a comeback. Why do you think you were able to win that game?
DRG hyung is my teammate so I understand his movements. The hidden expansion was a gamble on my part but I got lucky (laughs).
You seemed to be in a really great mood after you won the last game. Did you feel bad for DRG?
I think DRG hyung will make it up easily through the Up/Downs. I know he's going to make it up regardless so I don't really feel bad for him (laughs).
This if your first Code S in a long time. What are your goals for this season?
I want to secure my Code S spot for next season so I want to make it to the Ro8. I'm going to work so hard so that I don't end up losing any games pathetically.
You saw a lot of benefits from seeker missiles. Has the new patch been effective?'
I feel like with the infestor range nerf and through my ladder games that Terrans can actually play this match up now.
Anything else you would like to say?
I feel bad for beating DRG hyung but I believe that he's going to make it through the Up/Downs. I'm going to work hard so that I can show Code S level worthy games now that I am in Code S. Lastly, I want to thank our sponsors Lotte Chilsung, RAZER, GOMtv, and partners MYM and Wayi Spider.

You made it to Code S. How do you feel?
I didn't have a good win ratio for my practice games so I was worried. I think a lot of luck followed me today.
This is your first Code S after joining MJ team. You must be feeling something different than the others.
This feat doesn't really have a special meaning and it's not really on my mind or anything. I'm just happy (laughs).
You returned to Code S after three season. Why do you think you had been performing poorly until now?
I think it's because I was lacking in skill. If I wanted to, There are probably several factors that I could blame for my poor performance but the main one was definitely because of my lack of skill.
You've stated that you get nervous a lot. Did you get nervous today as well?
I felt nervous at first because I felt like my games weren't going to go well today. But then I ended up getting angry at myself after losing game two and allowed the score to get tied up. I think I was able to focus well after that.
You lost a ton of drones thanks to your opponent's hellions and banshees. Did that mess up your focus?
There are no such things as perfect builds. My opponent successfully hit a timing attack when I was most vulnerable. Contrary to my practices, I was lacking in certain areas for this one.
You won game three with the power of brood lords. Do you think it's hard to end the game before going hive?
Personally, I think it's difficult to win before the hive. Your opponents are just so good that you can't just needlessly go in.
You've returned to Code S after being gone for a while. Do you have any special goals?
I'm really not lying when I say this, I haven't thought about it (laughs). Getting through Code A was such a big deal for me that I didn't have time to think about what I would want to do afterwards.
Anything else you would like to say?
I want to thank jjakji for buying me fish on Sunday. I also want to thank coach Park for always taking care of us. And I want to thank manager Song for being our rock. Lastly, I want to thank Maru and TheStC for helping us with practice.

You've successfully returned to Code S within one season. How do you feel?
During practice, I lost very often to the Terrans on my team. When I thought of how good I was at PvT in the past, I lost a lot of confidence and even worried that I could lose today. But Hack and Coach Yun told me not to worry and to play using my own style, which is what I think allowed me to win today.
You've bypassed the Up & Downs to directly reach Code S.
Last season was my first time playing in the Up & Downs. I had been curious about why people were so afraid of the Up & Downs, but once I experienced it for myself, I learned why. So I clenched my teeth and practiced, and I'm glad that the results turned out well.
You recently became WCG and BWC champion, but you haven't been able to make a big mark in the GSL.
I have been informed that the next GSL is the final GSL that uses Wings of Liberty. Knowing that this is the last one, I want to work very hard to become the final Wings of Liberty champion.
After you won BWC and WCG, you stated that you will also conquer the GSL. Do you think it will be possible?
I do want to become GSL champion, but I first want to win the GSL Tour Grand Final that's right in front of my nose. I want to be a good son to my mother by winning tournament after tournament and bringing in the prize money.
What do you think of the recent patch?
I saw Genius-hyung's interview yesterday, and he whined so much that it was an insult to Protoss. I hope he stops doing that (laughs). For a while, Zerg was way too strong, but with this patch, it's possible for the truly skilled players to win.
You won both of your games in the series using all-ins.
Before, I would win using greedy play, but I felt my Terran practice partners adapting to my style during practice. Because of that, I decided not to play greedy but to use only all-ins, and I gave myself confidence by telling myself that I was good enough of a bastard to make this work. My Immortals were powerful even in PvT, and those three Immortals that I used are worthy of praise.
You fortunately won the first set, and you looked really gleeful at the time.
I didn't have much confidence because of how often I lost during practice, and it even got to the point where I was whining to my coach before the game, so I felt ecstatic when I was able to win so easily today. I apologize to my opponent, but it was hard to suppress my emotions; I do understand the feelings of a rookie. But because I know that he looked down on me during his interview, I only feel 30% sorry for him, and the other 70% of me wants him not to screw around with me (laughs).
Currently, there is a vote by the fans underway for the awards ceremony. Are there any appeals that you would like to make to them?
Because of all the ceremonies that I performed, I want to win the ceremony award very badly, although now that my results have been good recently, I also desire the other ones. I'll always try to stay a hot-topic player, so I hope that you vote for me. Objectively, Seed-hyung doesn't measure up to me when it comes to ceremonies, so I'll be very disappointed if he ends up winning the ceremony award.
Do you have any last words?
I want to send my thanks to Sound-hyung, Harrier, and Sparta-hyung for helping me practice to the point that I was able to overcome my lack of confidence. I'll treat them to some chicken when I return to the team house, so I hope that they wait without eating before then. I'm incredibly happy that I was able to return to Code S. Finally, I'm thankful to my team's sponsors, Red Bull, Joy Gear, and Zowie Gear.

You successfully made it Code S for two seasons in a row. How do you feel?
Recently, my TvZ results have not been the best. It was so bad that I would probably win only like two out of every ten practice games. I wasn't feeling pressured because I was looking at the Up/Downs but I am happy because I was able to make it like this.
You won game one with a marauder/hellion rush. Was this a prepared strategy?
Originally I wasn't planning on using that strategy. I got lucky cause i saw a replay of Polt using the marauder/hellion rush yesterday so it was an improvisation.
It felt like you were lacking in your games today. What about you?
Personally I was feeling this as I was playing. I feel like my hands get all clammed up whenever it comes to TvZs. It was like that for game two and game three, I just couldn't bring out my best.
You revealed in your previous interview that your results have been getting better. You're showing a great form right now, so what are your goals?
My goal is Code S Ro8 so I can secure my placement for next season. I feel like that if I can secure my spot for Code S next season, I will be able to play the rest of games with ease. I didn't know this before but my skills are kind flip floppy. But I'm going to do my best from here on out so that I can put up my best results.
A lot of Terrans have revealed that the new patch has made TvZ easier thanks to the usage of ravens. How do you feel about it?
I've tried out the new ravens since the patch came out but I don't think they fit my style anyways so I didn't prepare my matches that way. But I have a lot of time since the next GSL season so I think I'll be able to utilize them properly by then.
Your teammate PartinG has been showing an excellent form as of late. That must be a motivation factor.
Every gamer's goal is to win a championship and I'm no different. But I'm not as good as PartinG nor do I have the kind of confidence that he has (laughs). So my goal is to just keep rising up one level after another so that I can eventually grab a championship.
A lot of KeSPA players are in the GSL right now. Is there any player that you feel like would be an obstacle for you?
I think it's plenty possible. I've watched KeSPA player games and they are definitely at another level to ESF players. We're really gonna have to adapt to these new styles and it's going to have be backed up by a lot of hard work.
Anything else you would like to say?
I want to thank SoN, Curious hyung, and Life for practicing with me. Lastly, I want to thank our sponsors Red Bull, ZOWIE, and Joy Gear.
