You advanced out of your group as first place and in to the playoffs. How do you feel?
Ever since the new patch, my win ratio has been terrible. I kept thinking to myself that I should at the very least try to aim for third place but I am so glad that this kind of result came out instead. I love you PartinG
You started off well with two victories but then you lost to DRG and that stopped you in your tracks.
As I previously stated, I would have been fine with advancing out as third from my group. My score was 2-1 but if I got unlucky there was a chance that I could get eliminated entirely so I participated diligently.
How do you feel about avoiding the round of 6?
I still have not adapted fully to this new patch, I am struggling for mirror matches and ZvPs. Since I was able to buy some more time for myself, I am going to have to hurry up and adapt to this new patch.
Any match that was particularly difficult or that you specially remember?
I remember game three against DRG hyung very well. That was a game that I thought for sure that I had in the bag. I really did do my best but it was just such a shame that I ended up losing.
DRG was very impressive today. Did you expect that kind of performance from him today?
I know how good DRG hyung is from his practices. GSL season 5 champion, Sniper, was helping him tinker around with new strategies so I thought to myself that DRG hyung was probably going to improve.
Tomorrow will be Group B matches. Who do you wish would advance?
It doesn't matter who advances since they are all so good and are a pain to deal with. I figured that Zergs would start doing worse ever since the new patch but Life and Sniper are doing just as well as they used to. So I am pretty sure they will both make it.
You stated that things have become more difficult ever since the new patch. Exaclty what is difficult for you now?
ZvT is still about the same. Within ZvZs, the new trend seems to be to go for hydralisks since they seem to be getting used more and more these days. In ZvPs, the fungal range nerf for us really effects how well we can handle Protoss high templar feedbacks. And with infested terrans no longer being able to sustain their health like they used to be able to do, I feel like Zergs have taken way too big of a hit. I believe I feel this way because I have yet to adapt to the patch.
You are in a very advantageous position with your semi final advancement. Do you think you'll be able to win the championship?
I think that my biggest advantage is the fact that I am able to decipher my opponents really well. I predict what build order they are going to use and then find out that they actually do end up doing those builds. So I plan on preparing extensively for the rest of my matches as well.
Do you think you'll meet DRG for the semis?
I think it will depend on who makes it out of Group B. But I think DRG will make it up again.
Anything else you would like to say?
I want to thank my fans for cheering me on. I want to thank our sponsors FXO, GOMtv, Twitch.tv, and RAZER. My mom told me to hurry up and come home and I told her that I would as soon as Blizzard Cup was over so I hope she cheers me on until then.

Tell us how you feel about advancing out of your group as second and in to the playoffs.
I felt like I had lost the final match after I lost my army when I went to attack. But then I saw an opportunity once DRG hyung started doing ceremonies with his zerglings. I'm good friends with Leenock on a regular basis so I decided I was going to do him a favor this time and went for an all in rush so that I could win for him. I feel so good because it worked.
Were you confident that you would make the playoffs?
I felt like I was going to easily advance. I was even confident for my match against Leenock but I didn't prepare extensively enough so I lost. While it would've been great for me to receive a day to rest by advancing straight in to the semi finals, I don't think the alternative Ro6 road is all that bad since I'll be able to slowly gather up more and more confidence with each victory.
Any match that you particularly remember from today?
I remember the matches against HerO hyung and DRG hyung really well. I've never lost to HerO hyung before so I am glad that I was able to keep my pride with yet another victory. Against DRG hyung, this match will remain in my memories because I was able to give Leenock a gift of first place within our group with my victory.
Who do you think will advance out of Group B?
I think Life and Sniper are going to make it no matter what and I think the final spot will be a battle between viOLet hyung and Rain hyung. Personally, I want Rain hyung to advance out of that group as third. Rain hyung is the reason as to why my PvPs have improved so drastically so I want to take this opportunity to face him again. I also haven't seen him in a while so I want to to meet him on the stage.
You gave pizza to the audience today.
I wanted to spend my WCS winnings for the fans. For a while my teammate hyungs would often treat me to meals since I was unable to make any money for myself. So I told myself that if I ever won anything, I would repay them for their favors. Since I was able to earn $100,000 I decided that it was time for me to treat.
Are you confident enough to win the championship?
Honestly, I don't want any Protosses to make it to the semi finals. I want to be the lone Protoss hope in the semi finals. I will win the Blizzard Cup and become the world's best Protoss.
Anything else you would like to say?
I want to thank teammate Hack for helping me with practice and teammate Bomber hyung for helping me to understand how to take down Mvp hyung. Squirtle hyung didn't help me with practice but he did help me strategize for my matches so I want to thank him for that. I want to thank coach Kim for always being there for me and finally, I want to thank our sponsors ZOWIE Gear, Joy Gear, and Red Bull.

You disappointingly missed your opportunity to advance out of your group as first.
That was total crap. I don't really have any thoughts about it.
Disappointingly, you advanced out of your group as third and in to the Ro6 playoffs. How do you feel?
I didn't even rest for the weekend and just kept on practicing. I even practiced up till this morning but I keep on losing like this so I don't feel good. I'm glad I was able to make it to the playoffs and all but I messed up that final match so badly that I am angry at myself. I also want to apologize to Sniper who I could even end up meeting in the playoffs.
Blizzard Cup most hold a special meaning for you.
I did really well at the beginning of the year and then started dying off toward the middle of the year. I felt really bad for my fans and disturbed towards myself. I'm going to view this Blizzard Cup as the final Blizzard Cup and fiercely prepare for the rest of my matches. I am relieved that I was able to advance to the playoffs like this and I will use this opportunity to make sure that I grab the championship this time rather than second place like last time.
A lot of the players in Group A were players who currently had the best momentum. Did that fact pressure you?
Of course it did. Since my group was full of players who had the best current momentum, I saw that if I took this lightly that there was a chance that I could potentially end up getting eliminated with all losses. But I practiced with a positive aspect and I think today's televised matches were able to influence me well so I am glad.
Since you had to play so many games wasn't it difficult?
I had not been able to overcome the time zone differences ever since my trip back from IPL so even up till yesterday I was still feeling ill. I drank some coffee and hot6ix as soon as I arrived so I think I was able to make it through like this because of the effect of those drinks.
You seemed like you had totally overcome your poor form as of late with today's performance. Did you prepare anything special?
I had a good win ratio for my practices but my games did not go properly when it came to televised matches. But for some strange reason, today's matches went really well.
People say that NesTea and DRG were Zerg players who did well when times were tough for Zerg. How do you feel now that the new patch was released?
I think it's good. I've been losing more and more but it's good since you can get more praises. I don't really use infestors much to being with so I'm fine with it (laughs).
Group B matches will commence tomorrow. Who do you think will advance?
I think the three Zergs are going to make it. I would like it if Rain could make it but Life is a really good player. viOLet is staying with us at the MVP team house and so far from what I've seen through his practices with Sniper, he's in an unstoppable form. As long as everything goes as expected, the three Zergs should be able to make it.
Who do you think you'll face in the playoffs?
I think I'll end up facing either viOLet hyung or Sniper. I hate the thought of facing a player who's with me in the team house but at the same time I don't want to face Life either. Looks like I really did have to advance out of my group as first after all (laughs).
Anything else you would like to say?
I want to thank the coach for sticking with me throughout the entire day. I want to thank the coach's family, our families, friends, my girlfriend, and Sniper, Monster, and viOLet hyung for helping me come up with strategies. I was able to win today because I was able to use the strategies that we came up with. These days, even when I win, there really isn't much activity from the communities. I realize that my fans have left me. Therefore I want to thank the few remaining fans that I have.
