Thanks for the translations! It's more the other way around. Given the recent tournament results per race, and the noticeable Zerg influx in code S/A, Terran and Protoss doing well in WoL have nothing to prove. A lot of Zerg will fail quite hard in HoTS and complain about imbalance when really, it was imbalance in the first place which helped them reaching their WoL status. Besides, really disappointed by Flash complaining about balance despite not having plaid a single game of HoTS. So much for Kespa professionalism etc...
... he is probably talking about WoL balance. granted, the translation from language to language may not always be the most accurate, but reading more carefully would be ideal.
To make it clear, he mentioned about rumors he heard of how strong Terran and Protoss were in HotS. Then he goes on to talk about imbalance in WoL. These are two separate statements.

And Life will stomp him anyway.
As for the "balance whining", there's no actual directed balance whining in his interview. He says that he feels balance is not quite right, but he doesn't say what, when, where or how and doesn't specify races or units. It's fine to feel that the game isn't balanced, and it's hardly "whining" to say something like that. He also says that he hasn't played a game HoTS and has only heard from others that Protoss is strong - and much of this forum (knowledgable or not) seems to agree. Naturally, he'll form an opinion of his own eventually - but the people he talks to likely know quite a bit about the game - to the degree where it's alright for them to talk about (im)balance.

Talking about balance without explaining what is imbalanced is completely pointless. He shouldnt be talking about something being balanced or not if he hasnt played it himself yet and cant really explain what he "feels" is imbalanced. But i guess he had to answer the question somehow

Pretty much. Flash could probably be on any team and dominate. It's his determination to do crazy amounts of practice.

Even as I was practicing HotS, my manager told me to get some tournament experience, and it was thanks to him that I was able to participate in the GSTL pre-season.
weird, Losira wasn't even on the roster for the pre season or at the studio. wonder why he said that.

Good interview, good read~

Then he comments on WoL being an imbalanced game and so he is hoping that HotS can be fixed so that it isn't. It's actually a very good, HONEST answer from a progamer which we don't get often and he is not talking only in his races viewpoint but talking about the game as a whole.
Simply because he does not detail exactly what is imbalanced in WoL doesn't mean anything, anyone a Diamond level or above can clearly see what is wrong with the game.
Keyboard warriors like yourself though.... are a different story.

Thanks wozzot! Glad that Flash was able to overcome Rain and get into Code S! :D

It's going to take me awhile to get used to seeing Squirtle in the LG-IM jersey. I hope Losira keeps his confidence high and is able to do well in HotS.
Thanks for translating.

This post is very ironic because it is the exact same argument that Zergs used when Terrans argued about balance in the summer. Zergs thought Terrans were just upset because it was balanced and Terrans were so used to having the upper edge. To see so many Terrans complain about this and then use the same argument is hilarious.

What the hell makes you guys think he's balance whining? He said he's heard that Protoss is great, Terran is good and Zerg is having a hard time in HotS but he hasn't played it himself. That isn't balance whining.
He also stated that he feels something is imbalanced about WOL. The fact that he goes on to say that being imbalanced is bad for the game as a whole, and not him as a player, speaks volumes about just how professional he's being. He doesn't want free wins, he wants to be the best and earn it.
edit: Thanks for the translations

Oh i read that last part wrong with the " i dont think its quite there". Thought he was referring to Hots. My bad then. Still i prefer pros that actually say what they feel like is imbalanced since it is easier to see what they personally struggle with then. Also i do not agree with diamond players knowing what is imbalanced and what is not.

The situations are similar but not identical. Right now every single indicators point toward Zerg being stronger. While previously, even at the Terran peak, they were differences between the Korean/Foreigner scene and GSL/foreign tournament results which made it less obvious whether Terran as a race was stronger.

Not a single game of Hots by Flash? Surely not right?

If my memory serves me right, he self-admittedly plaid a couple of HoTS games a long time ago. But since Flash seemingly like euphemisms, that might be another one.

I feel concerned because I haven't played a single game of HotS; I personally don't want to participate in tournaments without being able to practice first. I've just gotten a grasp on Wings of Liberty, and I want to do the same for HotS.
Hmm this concerns me, the beta closes in a few days...for general public i guess, but still. Kespa strict training program is only going to hinder their performances in HOTS. Oh well, maybe they will start now? xD it closes for everyone, not only the general public, apparently the only way to play the beta is inside the IEM venue - if you're one of the 24 qualified players, that is. pretty sure the pros have access
