How do you feel about advancing to the Season 2 Premier League?
I was feeling really uneasy today because I haven’t been going that well lately, and because I had been performing poorly in my ZvT practices. I am relieved that I made it through like this.
You’ve made Code S 10x now. It is a shame that the NesTea award was taken away but this is still an amazing achievement.
I didn’t do well at all this season but I’ve been diligently practicing so I feel good. I want to keep on doing well so that I secure my spot for next season’s Premier League as well.
How did you feel about your group today?
I am really bad at macro games against Terran. But I was confident in my ZvP so I figured I’d be fine as long as I took down DRG hyung. I also figured that I would be fine as long as I at least prepared one good build order for my two ZvT matches.
Does that mean that your poor form lately has been because of Terrans?
I do fine for ZvP and ZvZ but things just don’t go well for me in ZvT. Right now, I’m even losing a lot during practice. I really don’t have any excuses though. I just think that I’ve gotten worse as of late. The answer lies in practice though.
You will have to play in YongSan. How do you think that will go?
I have a feeling that everything’s going to feel brand new since I’ve never played at YongSan before. In a way, I think it’s going to be fun.
What are your goals for next season?
I’ve been doing really bad in Korea lately. I want to at the very least, make it to the quarter-finals and secure my spot for Season 3’s Premier League.
You performed rather poorly for Season 1 but you earned a lot of points from winning DreamHack.
I got lucky during DH because I didn’t meet that many Terrans, so I grabbed a championship and some points. None the less, getting to the finals for Season 2 will be good point wise. Also, I feel like I could have done really well had I gone for Europe’s Season 2 finals.
During last week’s GSTL match, you responded to Bomber’s provocation but sat right back down after taking him down. What were you feeling during that time?
From the start, I was scheduled to be sent out as second. I don’t know if Bomber hyung provoked me because he knew or what but he did provoke me so I was thinking “how did he know?” and got a little flustered.
Anything else you would like to say?
I want to thank the fans, my parents, and my friends for cheering me on. I want to thank Hurricane, Seed hyung, and my Zerg teammates for helping me with practice. I want to thank our sponsors FXOpen, Razer, Twitch.tv, and imgur. I also want to thank our newest sponsor, 300apm, for sending us these new uniforms. Lastly, I hope the remaining FXO players also make it through the Up/Downs.

How do you feel about qualifying for the Premier League two seasons in a row?
I had a feeling that I was going to get eliminated today since I wasn’t feeling well but I am glad that I was able to make it through like this.
Did you catch a cold? How did you feel about your group today?
I think I did catch a cold. But I practiced a lot. I figured my group was doable after I saw it.
Any specific match that was particularly difficult today?
There really wasn’t one. I lost my game against Leenock cause I was pushed back in the beginning.
What did you think after you got eliminated from your Ro32 group for Season 1?
I thought I had that game won on Akilon Wastes vs Soulkey but I rushed in to attack and ended up losing. It was really disappointing. But that doesn’t mean I want revenge (laughs). I don’t want to face him ever again. But I do feel good about the fact that a player who beat me advanced all the way to the finals.
As of late, Prime’s condition and yours have not been looking great. You must have had difficulties during practice.
We’ve all been performing rather poorly lately so we’re all really struggling right now. I really hope that we can pick ourselves up again.
Season 2’s Premier League will be held in YongSan.
It will be my first time going there so I’m sure it will feel different than the studio at GangNam. I really want to hurry up and try it out. I’m not necessarily worried or anything like that.
What are your goals for Season 2?
I really think that I need to at the very least, take down one player. But I don’t want to get eliminated from the Ro32. For now, getting to the Ro16 will be my goal.
Do you think you’ll be able to use your Up/Down momentum today to do well in other tournaments as well?
If my other teammate hyungs start doing well, then I can’t help but feel like we’ll do well for GSTL also. MarineKing hyung’s group is a rather difficult one so I am a little worried, but I think everyone else’s group is fine. I think both Creator hyung and ByuN hyung will advance to the Premier League.
Anything else you would like to say?
I was able to win today because the supervisor kept on giving me advice. I want to thank my parents for always cheering me on. Lastly, I wish that all the other Prime hyungs will be able to advance to the Premier League.
