Rain had two options: expand and be behind or attack and be basically all in (he needs to break the nexus and not lose his army to be even/ahead) I am sure a huge majority of fast expand PvPs have been losses.
That says just about nothing about how viable they are.

Yeah, but once you're set on your path of tech then you usually don't deviate Yeah, I mean before the Council; unless my memory fails me Rain's Probe scouted the Nexus, then he decided to go Council to all-in. That's what I don't understand with herO's decision to fast expand, to me it seems it gives Rain two options: a) reactively expand himself for an even game; b) reactively all-in with the tech of his choice.

I think the days of CJ choking in the playoffs are behind them. You guys did win mutant/hybrid proleague . So i dont think that distinction holds anymore.

I think it's part of the rock-paper-scissor-spock-twilight-stargate-robo thing. The nex+robo build should usually hold the three-gate Blink and maybe the four-gate. Should win vs DT. Up to micro vs SG, lose to some Gateway attacks, etc

Yeah. Usually you go Robo to fight off Stalkers and DTs with immo/obs. Surprised to see him go Blink

The thing with fast expand PvPs is that you always get tech behind it really fast. So it forces the opponent to either take a slightly behind spot (tech won't be far ahead, expand will be behind) or all in where, even if they kill the nexus, the game doesn't necessarily end. They might not even be ahead if they kill the nexus.

Just because his Nexus timing would be later or is there something else?

When mech gets a buff in LoTV and hellions/hellbats get the vulture transformation and spider mine upgrade, then Fantasy will be the best terran again.
