TLO and MaSa have played each other only once, and that was back in Wings of Liberty. How is it that two top players in Legacy have managed to avoid each other so well? Well, for the fans of StarCraft 2, it was just bad luck. One of the only premier tournaments which they both qualified for was WCS Winter, where TLO was quickly defeated by iAsonu, and MaSa was eliminated by Snute. Both also participated in Homestory Cup but, alas, we did not see the two players meet, as both were defeated by Harstem, the eventual champion. However, here they are now, to finally put their skills to the test.
MaSa has been truly on fire recently, finally breaking out of a long list of players who possess potential to become real contenders. He has now truly embraced the skill that was always hinted at, going from basic irrelevancy at the start of his career to securing two top four finishes in 2016 so far. He is in a good position to make Blizzcon with a few more good tournament runs. Legacy suits his style perfectly, and it is likely that he will continue to be a very scary player for the next long while.
TLO’s path to where he's at has been quite a bit more complicated. A fan favorite since 2010, he race switched from Random to Terran to Zerg, where he remains now. Results have been on and off for him, with some good years and some not so much. However, none can deny the passion that has brought him to this point. Fighting a constant battle against carpal tunnel syndrome, he has persevered, managing to be a very strong player in Legacy of the Void.
