Little bit of background...
So I have been drawing/painting/doodling/art(ing??) since I carved a monkey in my moms belly (My little brother saw it on the way out). I also recently got into 3-d modeling. Doing 3-d modeling I am like damn... this is a lot like drawing! Then I am like come to think of it all visual arts are very similar.
After many bathroom sessions (this is where I think about mysteries of life and the universe stuff) I came up with the things that make good pieces of art, umm... good I guess lol.
Here are the things that make good pieces of art... good.
1. Shape
2. Lighting/shading/highlights
3. color
Right now you are most likely thinking "Well... duh!" I do admit these three are obvious, but how to use them is the tricky part.
You see, shape, color, and lighting are so heavily intertwined that having one without the other just doesn't really work (what about black and white pictures bitch??? Shut your fucking mouth, for the sake of simplicity black and white are colors!). To be a good artist you have to understand how these three things effect each other. If anyone wants to learn just post in this blog and I will make another one WITH PICTURES!!!!!
