“He's one of the best one-on-one players in our league, you know – top two best players in our league,” Lue said. “I thought Durant hurt us with his one-on-one, getting to the free-throw line a little bit. But his one-on-one ability really saved them again tonight."
After the Western Conference finals against Houston where the uptick in his isolation play had some folks wondering if he was no longer willing to play the Warriors’ way, they find themselves on the brink of back-to-back titles in the Durant era because his greatness cut through all the noise.
Not only was Durant’s magnificent scoring ability on full display, with no shot more iconic than the 33-footer with 49 seconds left that put the Warriors up six. He was a playmaker, a defender, a rebounder. And just like that, the noise about his future and this fit quiets.

I don't think so. Why would the Rockets want him over Capela, and I doubt he would be significantly cheaper. But I do get why he would want to get there. He enjoyed all of CP3's lobs and he fits their style, no tax, winning. But he is a older, more expensive, maybe not better Capela.

There was another one on his way to the hotel. Grow up KD.
lebron wouldve done nothing cause hes too image conscience. i have 0 issues with it cause its perkins, who is a bitch ass.
Lebron probably just laughs it off/ignores it during a live interview cause he's a functioning adult. A bum who's lucky to be there doing something childish, who gives a shit? But apparently KD does. He just had a historic finals game but gets triggered by some idiot giving him the finger. I'm perpetually surprised that a man-child with skin this thin can be so cold-blooded on the court. I guess his constant anger with random haters fuels him and his 8:30 am regimen.
And worse, he does it LIVE, with the cameras and reporters to his face fully conscious that it is being broadcast worldwide. It's as if KD either doesn't care about his reputation or is socially mal-adjusted.
It's not like you guys can ignore JimmyJ posts either.
i'm happy to see Casey gets to tell his side of the story. Benching Derozan was a good move.
he took a team with Luis Scola as a starter and Bizmack Biyombo as a major rotation piece to 6 games against the 2016 world champs. that team had ZERO top 4 draft picks and won 10 playoff games. Casey was great. He mismanaged the Raptors in game during the Cavs 2018 series though.
Its too bad they can't appoint someone else as in-game decision maker and let Casey be head coach in every other respect. That's never happened in the past though... and i don't think can ever happen. I'm sad to see Casey go.

the brian mulroney deficit management debate during the last canadian federal election topped anything that ever happened in this thread.

Come on were getting pretty good at it!
Let down is possible but I think blow out sweep is more possible.
Curry has been pretty much trash on the road for this entire playoffs.
Home - 30 pts on 50/45/100 with +/- 18.7 Road - 20 pts on 40/30/90 with +/- of -0.3
He really seems to thrive off the crowd when he plays at home, always dancing around and relishing in their cheers. It's crazy that Curry is one of the best players of our generation right now, has 2 MVPs and 3 rings and yet he will still have 0 finals MVPs. Although I guess when you look at it, Kobe had 1 MVP and 3 rings before he won a finals MVP too.
Still have to take Warriors for tonight though. Curry playing like trash on the road isn't as significant when you have 3 of the best shooters of all-time on your team.
It's been so long that I've looked up Paul Pierce's career stats that I forgot how mediocre they were. Especially in the playoffs. Here's Paul Pierce's career playoff stats.
18.7 / 5.8 / 3.4 / 1.2 / 0.6 with 2.8 TOV on splits of 42/36/83
Let's compare them to say.... Baron Davis's career playoff stats
18.8 / 4.3 / 6.2 / 2.3 / 0.5 with 2.6 TOV on splits of 44/35/71
Nearly identical.
He always seems to be hating on LeBron with his commentary and I think it's because he sees LeBron as an old rival. Someone should inform him that nobody sees them as rivals anymore. Nobody thinks he is even close to LeBron's level anymore.
No one ever really did. It was just that KG/Allen coming to BOS and Rondo being a top PG in the NBA coincided with an odd time of Boston media ascendancy fueled by Simmons.
And "the truth" hit some big shots in big moments. That always helps perception. It is amazing that as the third best player on that team he got so much hype.
Bill Simmons wrote some of his most entertaining pieces whenever his Boston teams would lose. I think Grantland was around for both the Colts' comeback from down 3-21 against his Patriots and Kobe's 6/24 game that beat his Celtics 4-3 in the finals. I almost got high blood pressure reading his salt, but it was entertaining as fuck.
The best part about the Brady-Manning debates was how irrationally confident Boston fans were. They'd always cite the H2H record (11-6) while ignoring the home team in all games combined actually had a better record (12-5), and even better the home team was 5-0 in the playoffs rivalry.

Pierce should never even be mentioning Lebron. He is a straight up hater. He should be thankful for Ray and KG and Rondo. He was a glorified Joe Johnson with bad attitude.
