So many people were hyped about him going back to BW. Thinking about it, maybe he has already several team offers in SC2. EG? TL? Maybe a Korean team? BW only has a real scene in Korea and other than ASL there is nothing else. Maybe he thinks he can make more money in SC2 since it's much more popular and there are more tournaments outside of Korea. I am sure he did the math Streaming BW vs competing for a team and winning tournaments in SC2. BW has a ton of tournaments outside of ASL. There's atleast 6 tournaments going on at this very moment. As well as a teamleague. Fantasy never came close to winning anything in sc2, he was way better in BW, he probably just like sc2 more or at least the sc2 competitive scene. He explicitly said he liked SC2 more. Which honestly makes sense, the style of SC2 Terran suited him.

Jaedong in his prime in SC2 seemed to get it though with Zerg. The one year that Jaedong got to the finals of Blizzcon, and where Jaedong kept getting 2nd place at major tournaments, was the most successful period for any of the "BW Bonjwas." Having said that, Bisu was the worst "BW Bonjwa" to play SC2. I had no idea what Bisu was trying to accomplish in most of his games. Anyways, good to see Fantasy come back to SC2 instead of going with BW. I hope he can excel in SC2.

I think Flash's 2014 were he carried KT to their Proleague title and won IEM Toronto was better than Jaedong's 2013. People like to only look at high tournament finishes without considering context but Flash faced in general much tougher competition than Jaedong. Except that Blizzcon ofc where Jaedong bested Dear and Maru.

Compared to say Bisu and Fantasy, Flash did better than them in SC2. But IMO, Flash failed to reach his potential. By far, Jaedong was the most successful of the BW Bonjwas. The year that Jaedong reached the final of Blizzcon, I considered him to be the best Zerg player.

His Blizzcon run was impressive but Flash faced and beat top tier opponents more consistently. Also no way Jaedong was better than Soulkey that year.

Smart to use quotes around BW Bonjwa given neither Jaedong nor Bisu were a bonjwa, but given we talk about Fantasy - even "BW Bonjwa" with quotes is not justified. One OSL does not Bonjwa make thoguh to be fair he was the most consistent among single starleague winners.

As a fan of Fantasy and follower of his play in BW I would like to ask the same question. Fantasy might not be remembered as a dominant BW champ but with guys like Flash and Jaedong still around why wouldn't Fantasy be able to keep up if he did return to BW and worked hard?

Better chance to win something there :D Noone keeps up with flash, fantasy would have a way easier time to become a top player in bw (again), something he never even was in sc2 really. Compared to the time he played sc2 last there are less players to compete against so that helps. I see him as a regular ro16 player who sometimes might make a ro8. Not really more than that though, in bw he would arguably do better.
