I will add probably Ragnarok. This means they will be around 3-4 spots open for foreigners, so there is hope. I count 11 players I think should make it through on day 2: Creator, Dear, Patience, Trust Bunny, ByuN, KeeN, Ryung ByuL, Losira, Solar That leaves 3 spots for non-Koreans and players who've recently come out of retirement. Possibly more since my list of players is by no means invincible. Based on day 1 performances, Neeb should be the main favorite to join that list. Taeja has a real fighting chance as well. Edit: Though he sort of got a pretty easy bracket Day 1 Eh, if the splits or lack there of we saw against NoRegreT are indicative of his level of TvZ, I have a hard time seeing him actually qualifying. But then again, he managed to beat Losira 2-1, so who knows. Those splits were horrendous but his micro elsewhere was pretty good. which splits? Probably this one I don't see any splits

He had quite a few big losses to banelings in the game that really shouldn't have happened. The vod is on NoRegret's twitch (you have to be subbed to watch it though).

It's not, or at least the top 4 isn't.

According to Liquipedia it is, whereas day 1 was double elimination for the whole day.

I don't follow the non-Korean scene much, but I'm a fan of Reynor. I think he's gonna be absolute top tier given a bit of time. Would love to see him in the GSL. If he sticks with it, I wouldn't be too surprised to see him eventually be the first non-Korean GSL (Code S) winner.

Which sucks....

Well it means you play a single single elimination game before getting into the double elimination portion. Holdover from the old qualifier format which was way worse.

Do we have the Challonge links for today yet?

The only players who are going to play an opponent with a pulse in the first round are those with absolutely zero GSL points. Once you get past that, you're into double elimination.

Which doesn't exclude round 1 getting Neeb vs Solar and Taeja vs Dear tbf.

(63 in day 1 minus 14) Solar, Dear, and anyone decent should get a bye.
