can we just skip this season and move on to Fall season? I want to see the new SAO (almost puked), Zokuowari and goblin slayer. Also Index to have something to laugh at. Maybe even finally start with Jojo after checking out the bunnygirl anime numy was talking about.
Next season looks so much more hype than anything this season or last season, even just on a first glimpse...
Glad to see that several folks also think this season sucks so far. I haven't checked out the Fall season list, but if it has Bell-kun and Hestia count me in! :D

Since you sound like you have an idea of what you're watching, do share? Also, there is a little thing called exaggeration, but this season is nowhere as appealing as any of the previous seasons.
Hanebado, Asobi Asobase, Cells at Work and Grand Blue in 5 days.
Thanks for posting your list: Hanebado: not really that interested in badminton and it's a sports anime so those are hit or miss. Asobi Asobase: read synopsis earlier, not really that interested in seeing cute girls doing comedic things at this time. Cells at Work: haven't decided on this one, might check it out though. Grand Blue: haven't decided if I'll check this out either.
Looks like it's being set up as a reverse toku? Definitely not normal.
That said... some of the animation was suspect and the pacing seemed super rushed. I have some faith in Mizukami, but I have significantly less faith in an anime adaptation of his work. We'll see.
Harukana Receive seemed pretty meh. Wasn't very exciting for a first ep.

There's typically a few in any season. Popular genre.

trying: those isekais i've haven't heard of yuragi sou / grand blue (i've read these so it's not very exciting) harukana recieve tonegawa random stuff
so far the subaru isekai is like basically anohana mixed with sword art online. Heck, the main group is also very similar to the anohana group where you have the leader blamed for the death of the menma copy, there's an anaru and a yukiatsu as well. Also i don't get how a company that made a game featuring free to play, the need for some sort of "sense" to be even able to play it, and account perma-death ever became internationally renown but realism wasn't ever the goal so whatever.
isekai maou seems lewd. it even shows the slave magic in the beginning and slave narou series aren't known for being good. the mc is ok but not really different from the norm. Seems more comedy focused.
harukana seems ok. i have a feeling it'll be less lewd than hanebado tho. Dunno what's gonna happen next but it's enjoyable enough to watch another ep.
haven't watched anything else
Spring was a bad season. But i'll take spring over summer any day. this season is terrible. Fall seems better though.
IDK if my heart could take another anohana type show. Do I really want feels during the summer?

Yes, nothing really happened but that's what it mostly is with first episodes and getting people back into things. So overall pretty happy with having at least something I can look forward to each week

Agreed, I enjoyed the first ep of S3. Gave more insight on the daily runnings of all the guardians.
Hi guys, im not really up-to-date animewise. Can someone tell me about good new anime series 2017 / 2018 in the Action, Splatter, Sci-fi, Dark, Psycological genre? I dont like all these shiny new series about super magic powers or Mecha animes. Im interested in thoughtthrough series without filler episodes, interesting and not foreseeable storylines. any ideas?
perhaps Made in Abyss? I never watched it myself and it surely doesn't check all of the boxes but it seems to be going somewhat in the right direction for you from what I've heard about it?
I feel like what you're asking about just isn't that popular, at least not enough to get a lot of it. It's much easier to make another 10 colorladen comedy-series that don't need to be well thought out or any of that. So it's kind of rare to have good ones especially if we're just talking a timeframe of 2017 + first couple months of 2018. 3-gatsu no lion would be another one I kind of recommend but I feel like that's going even further away from what you want. While (to some degree) dark, psycological and well thought through it's absolutely not action or sci-fi and its focus on sidestories perhaps can even give off the vibe of filler episodes even though they're not.
Goblin Slayer will air next season... that totally sounds like your kind of thing

I guess Made in Abyss could land there somewhere? More of a fantasy/adventure though. Easily one of the best anime's that has come out. Youjo Senki could also be one.
yeah, i watched youjo senki and really liked it, also watched Inuyashiki, which had interesting story and topnotch action scenes, just the ending felt a little bit weird. Made in Abyss i started watching, maybe im gonna pick it up again. Currently watching Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom from 2009, which ist REALLY dark.
the thing with these kinds of shows for me is that they're really hit or miss for me. I'll really love them if I do like them but if they're even just a tiny bit not my thing I'll generally end up not liking them. I'm going into those shows much more critically than, let's say, going into Gamers a couple seasons ago, which I also love but I'm more forgiving for these kind of comedy shows and that let's me play it safe I guess? Because I'll just enjoy most of them anyways (on a weekly basis) even if almost none of them will end up being a gem for me.
Probably a seasonal-anime kind of thing and it generally not being what anime is for me on a personal level. I like to watch stuff to unwind. So I generally only watch those kind of things when I go back to them some time later and think "ah right, I still haven't watched that thing" combined with the feeling that I do need something else for once.

Agree. I also chuckled at the ending before the credits. I was wondering how long it'll be before that happened haha.
Toad - Today at 12:53 AM i was a bit surprised at the beginning when they showed all the people like as if I missed something inbetween but episode was good the horse and finally albedo almost raping him was obviously best
Aerensianic - Today at 1:09 AM How does one rape a skeleton
Toad - Today at 1:10 AM that's on her to figure out
IceHism - Today at 1:25 AM Grind on him Without consent Maybe
NeoIllusions - Today at 1:26 AM Sounds harmless Stupid skeleton

IceHism - Today at 1:28 AM Or just never let her ride her own horse
Toad - Today at 1:29 AM I'm sure she'd be happy if she gets to ride him instead
