If they continue with this format next year there should be something done to prevent the vote to be so heavily influenced by non-SC2 people. Maybe requiring the voters to have a battle.net account with an sc2 copy? Dunno f2p makes this tricky. I don't mind the voting format in general as it's something different than most other events but it should make sure the most popular players win the poll and not the players who happened to have popular guys advertise for them.

Maru, yes, but INnoVation has lost twice in the past two years to uThermal, and TY lost to SpeCial at Blizzcon as well. Maru since 2017: http://aligulac.com/m/BtQfXQtgykvV4JEd Inno since 2017: http://aligulac.com/m/SK0S2ZQVAt7hYPZE (I used two years since that's the only time period you mentioned.) They aren't quite invincible, but > 80% winrates in all three matchups is pretty daunting if you're a foreigner. Maru's record is slightly better, but Inno has played more than twice as many games. If you're talking recent form, sure Maru is probably more invincible, but I wouldn't underestimate Season 3 Inno on his home turf either. I'd be surprised if either of them dropped a single map to any foreigner, let alone a whole series. And I don't know why you added the "anymore." Prior to two years ago their record is very similar. Sure, Inno lost to uthermal in 2018. He also lost to Naniwa in 2013. Maru lost to Scarlett in 2013 too. Foreigners have always been able to score the occasional upset against top Koreans, even Korean Terrans. It didn't stop the Korean Terrans from being overwhelming favorites, and it doesn't stop them now. Maru before 2017: http://aligulac.com/m/3j1XJdnscdGHUOMY Inno before 2017: http://aligulac.com/m/ge8BjAiEJzTL48qW Change the time periods around if you like; in 2018 Maru is more invincible and Inno less. 2017 has Inno on top. So on and so forth for 2016, 2015, etc etc. Maru and Inno about as invincible as they've ever been against foreigners, and that's pretty damn close to unbeatable. I expect 6-2. Upsets are likely in an event like this, and Serral should win at least his first series (although it's likely he plays Cyan) A 6-2 is perfectly possible. So is an 8-0. I'll reserve judgement until I see the bracket. And if an upset is "likely," it is by definition not an upset at all. Why do you say Serral is likely to face Cyan? IIRC last year they drew the bracket so that every seeded player had an equal chance of facing any of the voted players. Meaning Serral will be facing one of Inno, Dark, soO, Zest, Kelazhur, Scarlett, Has, or Cyan.

no sOs, no HeroMarine or uThermal and I'd rather have Elazer over Scarlett. At least Has is in

Not sure which one I will root for - I am Terran and I like Maru but it would it would be fun if Serral won since it would put an end to the Korea vs Foreigners debate.

This voting system is VERY flawed. Anyone can make 3 accs in 3 clicks and vote, thus we have the Kelazhur situation. I hope Blizzard reconsider this voting and redo it or pick players in a different way, cuz this is just a joke
