And in most cases, you don't even have to make the person up yourself, because someone somewhere made someone with exactly the attribute you need up already.

Kind of nitpicky since you get to the same end result (the dividend). But how do you guys interpret it? And should there be any preference?

There are multiple ways of interpreting even single things as natural numbers. For division, the main distinction is "Dividing is splitting something up into equal parts, how big are the parts" and "Into how many parts of x size can i divide something". Both are valid under some circumstances and hard to grasp under others. The difference is between "I have 8 liters of orange juice. How many half-liter glasses can i fill with it" and "I have 8 liters of orange juice to divide between 20 people, how much does each of them get?". The weird thing with stuff like that is that despite it both being the same mathematical operation, one idea is often far easier for students to grasp (Which can be empirically proven). Sadly, i don't recall if that was the case in this case, or which one is easier to grasp.

Do you think less or more of a person who donates a substantial amount to charity or volunteers their time to help build a homeless shelter for recognition alone? If you're a Mandeville fan he'd probably say: Pride and Vanity have built more Hospitals than all the Virtues together. If you're more into Jesus: “Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. 2 “Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

My main purpose for getting the card was to build credit score in case I ever need to apply for a loan. I'm confused because my payment due is 0 despite having charged $5, and I don't know how credit score is affected depending on when you pay. Usually it works that you have 30 days to pay from purchase without any interest. So you can pay right away or wait. As far as your personal credit rating goes, it only goes bad if you miss the required minimum payments. Having a credit card balance does not effect your rating. It can make a difference on your debt service ratio for like a mortgage or something but as long as you are at least making your minimum payments your rating will be good!

Makes no difference to building your credit. Just don't pay off less than the full balance at the end of the statement period. Ah okay this is good to know. Think I'll just use like a debit rather than having the debt hang over me.

So is there just no way to do a one month vacation job? Or is there some other way of doing this? I am a German/EU citizen if that is relevant. I know that this is possibly not a stupid question, but i have no idea how to figure this stuff out.
