The reason I say that, is that you end up with really long-winded walls of text that really add nothing of value. Take a look at the NiP or FaZe pages for instance, and all you'll really find are wordy, outdated tracts of text that recount the course of some particular games the team played years ago, or some years-old roster move. The grammar, bias and overall quality of the texts also vary extremely widely, as one might expect the result to be when a wide variety of authors are more or less invited to undertake a creative writing assignment. Contrarily, the vast majority of teams have no history section whatsoever, simply because nobody feels strongly enough about them to start one. Worse still, a team might leave their organization, see G2 to FaZe or SK to mibr, and all of a sudden the new players of those old organizations are associated with a slew of written segments recounting achievements that they have no relation to, while the team moves to a new blank page. Since there are really no criteria, limits or quality control on such sections, I think Liquipedia should take a step back from that sort of nonsense and do what it does best - compile hard data. Dates, scores, names and links.

I use the biggest layout (window as wide as this site, because the is widest site I visit) anyway but often I reduze the window but the design shouldn't change. Sorry, we can't do that. Because we want to give most people a good user experience we have to have our design be responsive. There might be some extension out there that lets you change the browser width that is used for the css and js calculations though.

This is possible, I don't know if there's anyone who has the time to sort this out but if you look into how the current upcoming match lists are created you could remake it to be a recent match list with VOD links instead of stream links.

Try this in Chrome (should be similar in Firefox): - F12 to open the developer console - Ctrl+Shift+M to open the device toolbar There you can emulate whatever viewport you want.

it is a beautiful experience for smartphones and tablets but not so much for desktops.

I looked at the template of the upcoming match list, but it's a conversion from a dynamic page to a static page. I don't know how or where the dynamic pages are. I would really like to help make it though. I believe in ownership of problems. I did some python in the past, so if it involves some coding, even better. Could you point me to where I'd start?

For a page like Liquipedia:Upcoming and ongoing matches on mainpage the dynamic page is at Liquipedia:Upcoming and ongoing matches on mainpage/dynamic
