I like this, forgoing hyperbole. Since "such an improbable defeat" can be taken literally, it is still a strong statement.

Sadly, being the best PvT player in the world STILL doesn't protect you from Maru, PvP can go either way at the highest level no matter how good you are, and simply improving in PvZ isn't good enough against the best 2 Zergs in the world. RIP classic, please prove me wrong, but I don't think he makes it to the finals no matter how the seeding plays out.

The last couple of GSL's, he won just about every TvP through proxies. sOs was like, "Make a couple of shield batteries, and you get ahead." I think Korean protosses simply didn't know how good shield batteries are against Maru for what they cost, and now he's not going to be quite as dominant. Don't get me wrong, he's still a force to be reckoned with, but sOs showed that he's definitely beatable.

But you have to admit he's been playing cheesy. Especially against zest the 2nd time they met in GSL. I remember the 4-1 against classic being especially solid

Going to 100 still be a proxyfest at blizzcon ..hopefully sos didnt crack the code but it sure looked like it..was inevitable anyway.. toss wins blizzcon..sos or classic calling it now lol.

Cool finals with all seven games, even though it was PvP. A PvP with sOs is often a lot of fun. Now he gets another try at Blizzcon. He's been up and down a few years now, but can never be written off. It remains to be seen if he can pull of the wins needed to get deep in Blizzcon.
