Hey everyone,
Last week I decided that I am done with Madden permanently. I am not going to sit and waste my time playing a game where the outcomes are pre-determined.
Reflecting on my career, I would say I've met a lot of cool people along the way...but that would be a lie. Probably the scummiest group of people I've ever met. It's crazy, I've met some of my best friends from other gaming communities, but the Madden community is so toxic and money hungry they literally do not care about anything other than what goes in their pockets. They dont care what they have to do, if it's cheating or against the law, or who they are hurting in the process...as long as an extra dollar is going in their pocket they basically dont give a shit. I get money is important in our society, but I just don't understand how everyone in the community is ok with what is going on.
Quick examples (unrelated to the match fixing stuff): On the online ladders, which are used to qualify for the major tournaments, EA does not post the win-loss records of the players, and also does not disclose the formula they use for determining these rankings. So basically they can put anyone anywhere on the leaderboards they want.
I also spoke with an attorney last week who said that when he holds small local parties at his office, he takes out a $1million or more insurance policy to cover things. He said that EA probably had at least a $5-10 million insurance policy on the Jacksonville tournament. They "donated" $1 million to the "Tribute Fund" for the victims, but they are probably just going to pocket the rest, and profit off people in the community being killed or scarred for life.
Anyway, its been a pain in the ass, but I finally was able to find some attorneys that have been very enthusiastic and understanding of my case. I spoke with them last week, and they said I probably have grounds for multiple lawsuits against EA. They will be reaching back out to me this week.
As for me personally, I will be taking the money I receive from the Tribute Fund and starting a business that I have been putting off for too long.
I probably will not need the money, but I will also be playing CS:GO going forward. I used to play CS 1.6, and some of the guys I used to be better than are now some of the top players in the world.
It shouldnt take me long to get my aim back, and strategy and tactics never leave you. Then it will just be about learning the new maps (overpass and cache), the subtleties of the game (flash/smoke spots, changes to the money system etc.), and making the right connections with people.
I'm more than excited for the next chapter in my life. I sold my Xbox and ordered up all the parts for a gaming PC, they should be here on Wednesday. Never built a computer before (I know, blasphemy), but it seems pretty easy and should be fun to do.
I was watching some of my televised games back the other day, and it was tough to accept the fact that I wont be playing Madden anymore...but I think in the long run this will be a good thing for me personally, professionally, and financially. Really looking forward to what the future will bring.
For anyone interested, here's a quick video blog of me talking about some of this stuff:

gl i guess. I think you're underestimating the toughness of switching from 1.6 to GO and the hardness of the scene and i would be very surprised to see you do well in the game, but good luck anyways for what you're about to do.

You know nothing about me, go project your own insecurites and doubts on someone else.
Just watched TL get destroyed by Astralis and these guys' aim is nothing special. Strategically I saw a lot of flaws in Liquid's game that would not be acceptable on my team. Tactics and strategy are not perishable skills.
Appreciate your support. Haters are the biggest form of compliments to me. 🖕🖕

Hopefully you're not going allin on cs is all i can say.

Just because you suck at shit, and are incapable of being on the level doesnt mean that applies to everyone else.
Apparently reading comprehension isn't your strongest attribute either, because I said I am starting a business and will not need the money from playing professionally. I am more taking it up as a personal challenge, and something that would just be fun to do.
If all you have is doubt and hate to give me, I'm simply not interested. As I said, go project your insecurities on someone else.

There's been multiple 1.6 and source pros who took a break and then came to csgo only to not really do anything. I don't see why a random pughero from 2007 would do any better when it comes to that. Feel free to call me trash if it makes you feel better though.
