Indigon makes all end game easy and you got over 5500 hp and over 5000 mana with 40% of all damage going into mana. And you got awesome dodge and spell dodge. Indigon makes it so you don't need a single point into damage nodes, everything goes into more HP, mana, and HP and mana regeneration. I had the feeling something happened to Indigon ED w/Betrayal (did it get caught by some of the Zerphi's'n'co changes?) - there were ~10 Indigon+ED-using Tricksters in Delve SC, but there's none in Betrayal SC and the build guide I remember espousing it has been deleted. However, it's possible the new Occultist toys led to everyone interested in that sort of playstyle going Witch (and there's definitely a lot of end-game growth if you want to go full LL).

They did a sort of nerf of Indigon but not really. They lowered the max damage bonus you can get from it but rarely anyone got to that top level of damage anyways so it is not really a nerf.

My plan is to continue playing in standard. What is the difference? Is there any smart moves before league ends? I've been looking at prices on items i want, and they seem much much higher in standard. So i guess using a lot of currency in league end is smart? any tips would be gratefully accepted... =)

So yea buy as many equipment upgrades before league ends. If you got chaos and other currency leftover buy as much Ex with it as you can. When playing in standard, everything will drop often except for Ex and buying Ex from standard currency traders is a rip off.

The Good: 1. Lots of content added to the core game. Delves are fun, Incursion encounters are great, and Einhar is amazeballs (and his voice actor is a treasure). Zana is still Zana. 2. New skills range from "wow that's awesome" (Winter Orb, Storm Brand) to yawnfests (shattering steel). Mines are still the way to go to delete all content it seems, and that's fine. It seems to be a trend that forcing a more complicated mechanic is rewarded with more damage (totems are another step beyond directly firing, do more damage. traps/mines require more intricate use than fire-and-forget, are rewarded with even more damage)... overall, a good idea to get behind. 3. A lot of crafting options. I mean, a ton. The safehouse crafting benches allowed more stronger-than-ever items. The Bad: 1. It sucks that the "optimal" way to play was to grind some act8-9 area (like Foothills) for safehouses, and then do breachstone rotas and hit level 100. As someone who likes to do a lot of different content, I found that this made prices of certain items rise out of my reach because I didn't want to do that. But seriously, Harbour Bridge is the most profitable way to play the league just made mapping (and all other content) seem dumb. 2. The fact that the hardest part of a map will nearly always be a betrayal encounter feels like a cop out in dealing with power creep. It's already kind of silly how much harder the shaper's guardians / shaper is compared to the rest of the content, but it's called a "difficulty curve", not "difficulty step"... but the way to solve that is not have a random encounter that will instagib you unless the rest of the map is trivially easy. This is true after the nerf. Similarly, the Mastermind encounter is much harder than the safehouses and the rewards just don't cut it. 3. Adding more mods to the pool just made rares garbage. The stricter loot filters stopped showing rares that can't be used as a crafting base. The double-rares (Shaper/Elder items) have been inching them out fast, but at the moment even picking up rings for the off chance that they're good makes the alt/alch shards you gain from selling them not worth it. Spamming chaos orbs has become less and less efficient. Using exalts has become a gamble that isn't worth their price for someone who doesn't play the efficiency game. Leo in research helps, but it doesn't change the fact that it shifts PoE from farming currency / items, and essentially more to crafting. If I'd want to spend time on crafting, I would not be playing an ARPG. The Ugly: 1. I didn't like the master rotas in earlier leagues... but I absolutely *hate* the way I'm supposed to reach all crafting "recipes". I understand that GGG love gating things behind RNG because, like in every form of gambling, hitting the jackpot feels nice, and that it keeps the playerbase engaged. It's downright predatory, and worse, annoying. 2. People apologize for GGG mistakes, but it needs to be said: it is not "overtuned content", it's "shit balance, and someone should have been fired". It was incompetently handled, and the difference in difficulty between syndicate and the rest of a map was and still is a failure. Stop apologizing for GGG using words directly quoted from their PR department. This wasn't some nerf to a popular skill, this is a core gameplay mechanic. 3. Trade bots. Exalts, throughout this league, have been priced well over double the price for leagues where bots don't work well: HC and Xbox. Every ban wave of bots has always seen massive fluctuations in the economy towards allowing people who don't play efficiently (you know, because fun) to actually have a chance to not spend a league in poverty. Again, people make excuses, but the fact remains that trade bots have made the economy a much harsher gate for people who don't spend extra time playing at the start of the league. This is actively harming the player experience. If GGG doesn't want an auction house, then why are they not fixing what is essentially a third party auction house? Overall: Betrayal has been a fun league. I think that I liked Harbinger more (because of the clear focus on mapping), but it's been better than most. I hit 36 challenges, but the league has become a graveyard already at this point, and I will occassionally log in to do a map and see if someone interesting is online, but it hasn't been sucking me back in with a goal.

You are horrendously misinformed on this issue either/or worded that very very poorly. Tradebots run fine on HC, why would they not?

Also I think I am burned out from PoE, I have been playing every league for years and before Delve I was already thinking about taking a break but I didn't. I keep getting sucked into playing new league due to GGG promises only to get disappointed. And then every league I play less and less before I quit it and wait for next one. I might take a break now and wait for 4.0. I need something big to hype the game for me again, I am not really enjoying the extra grindy nature of it atm.

I'm actually shocked there's another league already so soon, I've been preoccupied with so many other things.

Another problem is they're terrible for new players. They're way more opaque and confusing than the other mechanics like delve, you start them in act 1 almost immediately, the fights are chaos because of Jun + the particle effect,s and with something like a blind build they're really difficult AND can do things like show up on top of a unique enemy fight so you end up fighting a syndicate and miniboss at the same time.

3.5 was the league where I got my very first Guardian and Shaper kills (with my own build too - shoutout to a buddy of mine who encouraged me to drop the guides); I didn't quite had the passion to push on and kill Uber Elder, but I plan to slay him in 3.6. Overall Betrayal will be a fond memory for me.

Some of their spoken lines were pure gold and you actually had to think a bit about your choices with the bargain/execute mechanic to get what you wanted. Once I switched to a tankier build I rarely died to them, especially after I got some better gear and learned which map mods to avoid. I also like how they intergrated the new masters, and the new crafting bench is so nice with all the options in one place. I think the problem with the bargin/execute is just that it's really non-obvious what you're going to get or what goals you're trying to accomplish. Without the wiki even figuring out the safehouse mechanic and why you care what group people are in seems impossible. The other inclusions are a lot more obvious what you're getting even if there's optimizations you still probably need the wiki for.
