Last time I remember Reynor trying to play in GSL he got obliterated by a relatively simple 2-base timing by Bunny. The difference between that game and other games they played together online is that Bunny was able to actually micro the way he's used to, and Reynor couldn't rely on the a-move advantage that Zerg has in lower latency games.

The difference in latency makes the game a very different experience - one might argue the Korean latency makes for a more legitimate sc2 experience. He did win an offline Katowice. Gamers 8 was an odd one where it was offline, but played off another server with added latency. Can’t honestly recall if he won anything in terms of a global tournament where it was offline.

Iirc he won 2021 Katowice (online), 2020 was probably Rogue, 2022 Serral (offline) and 2023 Oliveira obviously.

Unless I've been so far out of the game that offline actually means offline now. Did they bring back literal LAN?

You're dense as hell. Move along. In other news, Reynor competing in GSL again would be an interesting storyline. Agreed Serral is the GOAT. These Rogue people are weird.

How offensive it is depends more on how harmful the stereotypes are and some social context of who's saying what about whom. In this case I don't think anyone would expect Reynor to be offended, but if he wasn't a successful guy in a rich European country it could have been a bit different.
