There once was a time where Liquibition was a once in a few months event. Things got worse after episode #20 when it became essentially a once in a year thing. However, those days are long gone and a full season of Liquibition has been scheduled! Following on from Liquibition #24 comes Liquibition #25 – ‘Rise’, which promises to be another epic encounter between two amazing gamers.
Last week MYM.IefNaij defeated his TSL nemesis Brat_OK 4-2 in impressive fashion. The games were close, exciting and are definitely worth the watch. You can check out the VODs or Download the replays from here. As per the Liquibition tradition, IefNaij gets to defend his Liquibition title for another week and has a chance to win another $100! Here is the updated history of Liquibition;

A challenger has indeed risen and will be fighting IefNaij for the Liquibition crown and that challenger is none other than MYM.DinOt. DinOt is the future of foreign Zerg players – he is still very young and ambitious, and on top of that he is extremely talented. He is arguably the 2nd best foreign Zerg at the moment. He managed to make it to the Round of 8 in the TSL where he was stopped by none other than IefNaij 1-3. Eager for his chance at revenge, he simply smiled at the opportunity to challenge IefNaij and get some revenge for TSL.
As per last week, the players were asked to pick 3 maps each to play on in Liquibition. IefNaij chose Andromeda, Wuthering Heights and Longinus II. DinOt picked Tau Cross, Python and Medusa. While IefNaij’s decision to pick Wuthering Heights may be seen as a “low blow” against DinOt considering the supposed P>Z imbalance on the map, it was actually the only map where DinOt was able to take a game off IefNaij from the TSL. This map is all about revenge and the game is undoubtedly going to be hotly contested. The game order is thus;
IefNaij < Andromeda > DinOt
IefNaij < Tau Cross > DinOt
IefNaij < Wuthering Heights > DinOt
IefNaij < Python > DinOt
IefNaij < Longinus II > DinOt
IefNaij < Medusa > DinOt
IefNaij < You Decide! > DinOt
IefNaij < Tau Cross > DinOt
IefNaij < Wuthering Heights > DinOt
IefNaij < Python > DinOt
IefNaij < Longinus II > DinOt
IefNaij < Medusa > DinOt
IefNaij < You Decide! > DinOt
The map poll for the 7th and final set will be up very shortly. Whichever map wins the poll will be used in this series. As always, there will be pre-Liquibition interviews later in the week.
Liquibition #25 – ‘Rise’ is scheduled to be broadcast at 4pm EST on Sunday 21st December. That’s 20:00 CET on the 21st, or 6:00am KST on the 22nd. Tune in to see potentially one of the best PvZ series all year and yet another epic Bo7 series between two amazing players. And remember to cast your vote for the map! Because your vote will decide the final map in the series and will influence the series should we get to the 7th game! In the mean time, get amped up for another instalment of Liquibition!
