Ugh. Bathory did not play BM.
Listen to this from 1988 and try and honestly tell me this is BM when it is Thrash with harsh vocals. They set the stage for BM, but didn't actually PLAY it. Geeze.
Darkthrone from their 1992 album and tell me NOW that Bathory actually plays BM. Darkthrones 1992 album is pure unadultered BM. A huge feature of pure BM is the raw production and dissonant guitar. (Neither of which Bathory possess)

For me honestly, I think BM bands should steer clear of music videos its like the antithesis of the whole point to BM. I never did understand the black and white paint either. Much of the early work and lyrics of BM dealt with the occult and satanism, and they look rather silly not something to be afraid of. You just can't convey BM songs in a music video.
Anyways, thats my opinion. Its probably in the minority.

im sorry thats what i hear
and ROFL at immortal, i think this video captured the concept really well its like a huge obscure theater in the woods where violent staged acts happen
and fullmoon mysticism and pure holocaust were one of the BEST black albums ever

i'm really liking Shining, especially their album The Eerie Cold; as well as Nocturnal Depression's Reflections of a Sad Soul.
Try this out, the best atmospheric BM song ever in my opinion, by one of the best Atmospheric BM bands.
