I agree with this. Plus, a Bo7 is really, really exhausting for not only the players, but the casters AND the the viewers. I think I prefer bo3 ro16 followed by bo5 for the latter rounds, but all bo5 is acceptable as well.

Of course, everyone wants to see some insane Bo7 between idra and ret or something, but what if Idra and Ret doesn't happen? Ending TSL off with a bo7 zvz or tvt or even pvp would be pretty ='( Would most people really want to spend an entire day watching a Bo7 tvt series that starts off with no intensity, and then progressively gets worse and worse due to tiredness and repetivity? Sure, you could say that in the case of an all-Terran bo5 semifinals, it could be worse with the possibility of 10 straight games of TvT, but how is that a reason to justify even more TvT by upping the finals from a bo5 to a bo7? The same goes for all mirror matchups; I still remember people complaining about the PvP finals last time, and that's with PvP being the least hated of the mirror-matchups. You might also say that a mirror finals has a low probability of occuring, but if this TSL is being based off of current/recent maps, then the probability of a mirrors finals (especially zvz and possiblby tvt) is very high; just look at our most recent professional finals.. After looking at the major risks and relatively minor benefits of a Bo7, I don't think it's worth it Don't forget those ZvZ OSLs and MSLs, along with the TvT GSL... we don't need another Bo7 ZvZ/TvT TSL to top things off.

Bo7 would be too drawn out.

Earlier rounds, bo3. That's good enough, it may also create some interesting matchups if someone can think their way through. Next rounds, bo5s. Real skill determining format. It'll ensure nobody "sneaks through" who shoudnt be in the late rounds. bo7 finals = epic. TSL = epic. I know it's long, but it may only wind up being 5 games, and if it goes longer, it'll be all the more exciting for it. And the more games you play, the more likely the better player will win.

Too many games can actually get tiresome. Hate what hockey's done with playoff formats the last decade.
